There are two cables. One is a standard micro USB cable (the one used to charge the tablet). And the other is a Mini USB (male) to USB (female).

You slid right by the cable situation. That's the part I need. I don't want to use my tablet as a monitor. I just want to connect my Canon DSLR to my Android tablet to transfer pictures from the camera to the tablet while I'm on a 3-week safari in Africa. I just need to clear my memory cards at the end of each day. What are the two cables you used in this video?

We use this app, controlling the camera with it ( we use a phone ) is just amazing, somehow the app software allows us to shoot better photos and videos. Never used it with a tablet, because the whole idea is to avoid using heavy and bulky screens.

QDSLRdashboard at the Play Store is a big $8.66...seems quite cheap to me for an app that does live view, remote operation, interval, and focus stacking.

If you have a wifi go pro I downloaded a app on android or apple called finalcam and had my phone join the wifi network and entered the app and I could see what my go pros seeing not connected too it cool with going underwater somone else and watch it you can go 60 feet away from it altleast with apple not sure about android

I also use a hot shoe adapter to connect my camera to two alienbee flash units. will I not be able to use this as well if the tablet mount is also a hot shoe adapter? I dont think I can use both functions simultaneously.

I've just tried this out with a 7D Mark II, and an Android phone using USB 2.0. It works reasonably well. Frame rate is low, but acceptable. I'd like to try it with a phone that can use USB 3.0. But there's one thing that's annoying: using the smartphone to control the DSLR disables the physical buttons. And I actually don't want them disabled. I want to be able to use the physical buttons *while* using the smartphone as a viewfinder. Do I have to use the HDMI output from the camera if I want to use the physical buttons?

Will this work using any camcorder??? I have HF R 500 CANON VIXIA and I have an Onn Android tablet and the cables but can't get a screen to show . I tried using a different app splashtop display app and can't seem to get the display to show up.. any ideas of what I'm doing wrong or what I can do to fix the issues ??

Trying to monitor/control my CANON 70D camera with DSLR Controller. (DSLR Controller is installed on both my Android tablet, and my Android phone.) Have used native (came-in-the box) cables for both the phone, and the tablet - so there should be no conflicts. Problem: DSLR Controller never even “sees” my camera --- will not connect. From neither the phone NOR the tablet. (Have also use the very common “On the Go” cable, to the camera.) NOTHING works. Any other suggestions ?

I PURCHSASED the DSLRDASHBOARD, and after i couldn't get my tablet to work, was told by tech support from DSLRDASHBOARD that it only works with WIRELESS cameras. I have an older NEx7 which is not wireless, and would have to be connected by cables as you show. Can you comments ont he WIRELESS issue?
