Great video, and based on your reviews I purchased the Andycine C7, however I think I should mention what my experience with this monitor was like. It worked fine initially but completely failed after 6 months with only very light usage. I contacted Andycine support and was told that they would NOT be able to replace my unit because the warranty had expired. I asked how that was possible since I had only had the monitor for 6 months - they replied that their warranties are 1 year from the date of manufacture, not from the date of purchase. So in my case, my unit was made over a year ago before I bought it, which means that it was sold to me without it having any warranty at all (I have never heard of a warranty practice like this for any products that are sold in the U.S.). So just thought I would mention this in case any of your viewers are considering this monitor. Since then, I’ve bought a Desview monitor which I really like and think is better than the Andycine C7 *and* is warranted from the date of sale.

Look into consumer protection law in your country. I smell BS coming from Andycine. The law is applicable (in Australia at least), regardless of where the product was manufactured. I'd mention that in an email to Andycine if I were you - I wouldn't be surprised if they back-flipped on that appauling customer service call. 🙂

@@WayWalker3 I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (not that I expect them to do anything about this, but I least I made them of aware of the warranty problems I experienced with Andycine). I can attest that the PORTKEYS PT5 does not. You would need to set the HDMI out from your cameras menu to send out the info for the "False Color/Scopes" to see it's effect on the exposure. Definitely bummed by that as not all cameras can store a lot of LUTs in them.

Thanks Caleb for this in-depth and comprehensive comparison! I've had a Feelworld F5 PRO V2 for quite some time and I really enjoy using it, except for its lack of brightness (only 500 nits) and it being too small in many situations. Therefore I just got a Feelworld LUT7 PRO (ie. a LUT7 with the backplate like the F5 PRO). It is very bright and has the right size, but I've encountered two problems due to which I consider returning it: Zooming into a 4k input signal (C4K or UHD) lacks sharpness and shows artefacts. It seems, that the input video is downsized to 1920x1080 and then zoomed into. The difference in sharpness is very obvious compared to my F5 PRO. Focus assist is very irritating to me: Where my F5 PRO shows fine coloured lines directly on the edge (1 to 2 pixel wide), the LUT7 PRO shows a broad coloured line to the right of the edge (4 to 5 pixel wide and offset by at least 1 pixel from the edge). If there are multiple edges in the image, the focus assist distracts significantly from the "real" image. Did anybody encounter these problems as well? Is it just my LUT7 PRO? Or is it just me being picky?
@BybbyCreme8 ай бұрын
he mentions a Feelword LUT7 AND a Feelworld F7 Pro. you mention a Feelworld LUT7 Pro. So: which one did you use then? if you wanna help with your comment, you should better be acurate. anything else does not help.

the Feelworld LUT7 is certainly great value but at my old dayjob we used it every day and the poor quality quickly became an issue. one of the battery mounts quickly stopped working. also, DO NOT RELY ON IT TO CHECK FOR WB. the colour accuracy is awful, it's really only decent for checking framing, focus and exposure (which is certainly enough for a lot of people). it also gets really hot if you actually crank the brightness up, so on hotter days maybe switch it off between takes. over all decent value but nothing i'd buy again for every day use, it's got too many quirks and just feels kinda flimsy once you've used a ninja or a shinobi :D
