Besides crouch jab or while riding 2, Yosh also has Samurai Cutter (full crouch~d/f+1), it's a low evasive sweep that can be combo'd into. I dunno if he still has armored moves or power crushes but F+3+4 was a real noob killer in Tekken 7 if people wanna mash against you. If you're actually good at the game, there's always Flash (1+4), a psuedo-parry that crumple-stuns and leads into a combo.

DSP probably won't see this or take any meaninful advice to become a better player, but if you enjoy tekken and you're reading this I hope this is able to help you in any way. 0:38 You can break this throw by pressing 1+2. While its animation stands out, it is a command grab that can be broken. 2:00 Jabs being +1 on block mean challenging them often isn't wise. Options include ducking, using high crush moves, parrying, or (for Yoshimitsu) interrupting with Flash (1+4). 6:10 LFS (Left Flamingo Stance) 2 at +5 on block discourages contesting. As Hwoarang is highly aggressive, learning to duck his strings is vital for this matchup. Down jabs (d+1 or d/b+1 for some characters) can disrupt his pressure, but be unpredictable to avoid low parries. 6:45 Hwoarang's WS 4,4 is safe at -5.Trying to punish it backfired for DSP, allowing his opponent to take his turn back and grab him.
