I will give him this ... part of his problem IS his setup ... just so you know how he ends up seeing what's on his screen this is his setup ... his PS5 is setup first off wirelessly because he thinks that as long as the modem is plugged in that means he's on a 'wired' connection, not the console. So from the PS5 it goes over to a 5-to-1 input splitter (the splitter has his PS5, his XBSES, his Switch, his Mini-PC and something else my brain is missing right now - might be his cable tv) so it goes from that 5 into one output HDMI that is HDMI 2.0 as well but his cables are shit. So that out goes to his capture card which is a card from China that will work with Windows 8 (because his main PC is a Windows 8 machine - note not Win8SP1 or even Win8.1, literally launch edition Win8) ... so the capture card is a 1.4b HDMI input/output. From the capture card it splits into his PC (for his screen capture and OBS) and then over to his TV's input. Just think about all those cable just for one brief second.

Even if it is "significant", it would be nowhere near enough to make a massive difference in any way, which makes Phil's bitching that much worse. To anyone who has seen connection issues, you would be seeing it at bare minimum around 500+ milliseconds for it to legit impact your game. If it's less than a 100, it doesn't matter worth a damn past the most frame complex of combos.

His play style is pure pattern play. Knock them down drive rush crouch MK cmd throw or drive rush overhead. Because it’s so fast people have a hard time reacting to it. If it’s close to corner drive rush crouch MP DI. In neutral walk back and forth until they jump to anti air. In a short set this absolutely works. Obvious counter to this is to don’t jump and jab on wake up because none of those drive rushes are meaties. In a longer set he’ll get destroyed by any competent player.

If you can't adapt to a gimmick you're not good at adapting and need to improve, like DSP, but hopefully complaining way less

I’ve mentioned in other videos. The earlier reaction speed a human can see, interpret and process is 25 milliseconds. He has complained that fast connections are bad because the inputs get skipped as the connection tries too stay fast lol. So, according to Phil, the only way you can play online is between 15 (faster than humans can detect) and roughly 30 (only just slightly passed peak human cognitive speed) milliseconds. Real athletes lose skill with time. It’s part of the game and those are top end health players. We have a 41 year old who lives off fast food, never goes outside and has been a hardcore alcoholic for roughly 20-25 years. Add to that his cognitive overload in having to shout out, watch his chat, heck even talking while playing. I wonder what the real issue is lol
