How do you compare these to BMC chisels? Do you prefer one over the other? Are they similar in quality?

Hey Devilus! Unfortunately, I have not purchased and used a BMC Chisel (they were not available anywhere I looked, hence going this way with Dspiae!) My understanding and research are that the BMC is basically the gold standard. However, I found these to work really well for what I need. I would like to get some BMC in the future to compare, but need the cash first :)

Don't buy DSPIAE products, unless it's from someone you trust who has them in stock. I went through Dspiae's official site and internet store which sells through AliExpress. I created an account, and paid the sum required. The money was been taken from my card (the payment went to AliExpress Luxembourg), but I didn't receive a confirmation of my order. My Aliexpress account doesn't show the order either. So I contacted Dspiae who said "oh were so sorry, contact Aliexpress customer service." This is where the fun starts. It's a merry go round of pages that keep asking for my order number...but that's the point...there isn't one even though they've taken the money. There's an "account retrieval" service where you put in the some of the digits of your credit card and the price you paid. I tried it, and it says that my credit card has never been used on their site. My bank statement says otherwise! In short, after hours of surfing from one page to another you give up, and that's obviously what they want you to do. I should have know better than to deal with a site that has so many negative reviews, but I was trusting that Dspiae is a reputable company. How wrong that assumption was...but I hope whoever reads this won't make the same mistake.

Hey Sergio! Sorry to hear that you got screwed by them! That really sucks! I ordered mine from a US based retailer that I had used in the past, so I didn't experience any issues, fortunately. As your story above suggests, I would order from a different reputable retailer, as it sounds that the site on AliExpress can't be trusted, unfortunately. Thanks for the review! Just used mine, and the result is satisfactory. But mine seems to have very tight knurled part\part especially the brass gold holder thing. In your video you seem to take out the blade very easily? Weird

Hey, sorry for ,y delay response! Yeah the locking device for mine moves pretty easily. I would recommend maybe using some WD40 (only a little) although I am sure you did something like that by now :) Thanks for watching!

The "chisel broach" you bought is more for pushing and not dragging a scribe mark, you should have bought the "hook broach".

Hey Stefan, thanks for the comment! Yeah I can see what you mean. The design on the tips of these is also very similar to that of the BMC Chisels as well, which i have been seeing alot of people use for pulling as well..... While I haven't tried using it to push, it works really well as a pull/drag. Unfortunatley, I did not get the hook broach, but that is an awesome idea for a follow up/edit on this video! Thanks for the tip!

I think it works great dragging back like he did. These are more versatile then the hook broach.

Red Gundam they don’t work great at all for dragging as its a chissel. The blade part of this tool sits at the front. The hook tool’s blade sits at the back thus dragging works for that one. If you want to do panel line scribing than the hook will work best. I have both, trust me on this one.

He is sponsored by DSPIAE. Its name misleads you to think that it is not Chinese. These are Chinese tools! Use at your own risks! MADWORKS are Taiwanese. Their tools are fantastic and always out of stock (probably because of hostile buyout). But they're worth the wait.
