DST Base Tour - Day 6,100

I might upload more base tour videos of this world if you guys are still interested. I feel like I need to build much more, to upload another base tour, maybe around day 10.000 I do another one.
I have a Discord Channel where everyone is welcome to join if interested. Sometimes I play DST and other games with people in this channel :)

great base ! I'm a bit jealous of your creativity , my bases are always too small btw i have a better mod than "aerial view" for seeing stuff from far away , use "camera tweaks" instead it's just better in every way plus when you zoom you won't have to wait for the annoying clouds to disappear

I've never seen a more thorough conquering of this game, which is deeply impressive to me. I have an extremely thorough conquering of the original don't starve with the robot as my main linking all three worlds with huge bases and I've killed every boss in that but I don't have any friends who like to play games so DST is harder for me lol.

As a beginner of this game but a veteran of other survival / base builders I am loving this! Would you consider a more indepth break down? Like what floors you used, how you got creatures in their pens, what each item is (why you've laid them out that way :D) I'd love to see that!

Thanks 🙂 for animal pens, most animals i teleported there, using telelocator staff & focus. Except for tallbirds, i had to hatch them and raise them till they become adults. For turfs, i used alot of cobblestone turf, which prevents world regrowth and gives you speed bonus. Also used other turfs, which ones you can find in structure tab. All of these turfs prevents trees and other things from spawning on it.

yeah, I know, its hard on console. I had frame drop when I used Minimap Hud mod, after I disabled its good again :) Too many trees in middle, each time I open map I feel little fps drop, so maybe I dont recomend planting that many trees

I don't like boat bridges, two reasons why :) I like to sail freely, if there is a bridge I will have to go around. Second reason, boats sometimes can move and Im not sure what triggers it :)

Hello, I know I'm a bit late to the party, but did you really never pick your starting mandrakes? I saw them planted somewhere and you can't replant them after harvesting them. Is there some sort of trick? If not and you really just saved them for the flex then holy shit youre a legend

In singleplayer you can replant them using deconstruction staff on pan flute, but in this world I never picked them up, only at dusk where they followed me back to base. I was playing with winter feast event on and got extra pan flutes, thats why I never picked up original ones :)

wood is not that a big problem at the moment, because I needed pine cones & I choped lots of wood. Stone is problem right now , because im using alot, building walls etc :)

Bearger is no problem, because I have moved him to his private Island :) If I dont kill him, he will not despawn and stay forever there. For Deerclops I Cant do the same, because she despawns. The Best way is to build Teleport focus in safe place and teleport yourself as soon you hear she is about to spawn in

Thank you, yeah base building is my favorite thing aswell. Map was hosted in 2018 (if i remember right) but i was taking many breaks from it. I was starting and playing other worlds, but always came back to this world. If i have played this map for 3 years and not starting new ones over time, i think this world probably will have 15k days already 😁

In summer, usually the wooden things will be caught on fire. How do the wooden chests manage to not get caught on fire? I don’t see any ice flingo. Or maybe there’s something I don’t know? My only question is- what do you focus on when building these crazy big bases? What are the steps, if you can summarize?

Thanks! :) It's hard to tell.. usualy I dont try to rush things, rush bosses or caves. atleast 5 days Im exploring map then picking location from where I start to build. before winter I try to build cooking area, science stuff and maybe magic, farms drying racks etc.

why does that beach area require you killing crab king many times? Because of the turf? if so you could easily mass produce that with slurtles, but i assume you know that.

For me killing Crab King was easier, i get 12 shells every 20 days. I tried my luck killing slurtles, but it didnt give me that many shells I needed. :)

Shells I got from Killing Crab King, he usualy drops 12 or less. It's Action Queue Reborn at 3:00 , when you do an action holding shift button it continues doing last action :)

yes wild fires are disabled, flingos are there because fire hounds sometimes set trees on fire when they die on tooth traps. And in other places flingos is just for twigs and grass, so in summer they dont wither

Mining stone fruits sometimes, but mostly mining rocks in meteor fields. Mining stone fruits you probably can get more rocks, but only reason I dont like it, it's because you will get too many food, which will spoil faster than you will use it.

It was hard tbh, many times when i didnt have any new idea it was geting little booring to play. But after playing another worlds, i always wanted to come back and continue this one,because i dont think i ever will make bigger and better base 🙂 Its good that there is a new update every 2 months, always giving me new ideas what to do 🙂
