It's been a little over a year since this video came out... Still no sign of Joe ever returning. Sad, I was hoping for Hamlet speed runs.... Where did Joe go? Did he just quit KZbin or did something else happen? Joe loved DS and DST alike, so there wasn't any reason for him to quit. May we all be grateful for the return of the best DST player (in my mind.) For now, praise his work and hope for the best. Edit: 2 years now. Still nothing. :( Edit 2 (August 12, 2020): I posted this several years ago, and have realized that if Joe doesn't ever return to KZbin at the very least I hope he provides an explanation. It's not good to leave a media platform and leave fans wondering what happened, as we all see here. I would say that at this point it's unlikely that he will return, but I at least want to know why he left in the first place.

well i don't know if i spawned minions thinking they're gonna kill the lil shit and they get destroyed, i'd be pretty irritated. I think it's more of a frustration that it didn't work rather than a "YOU KILLED MY BABIES" kinda thing.

Lights out mode (only night) is a popular challenge that lots of players have tried. It's even an official preset. I'm not sure if anybody has done permanent winter along with lights out, but I think it's something that most experienced players could do easily. My 1 HP, lights out, adventure mode with Wes starts out in the king of winter, so you could check that out if you're interested in a lights out winter run.

Very impressive. I gotta question, though. If you weren't actively seeking to destroy the last lavae, would you have more time to fight the Dragonfly while she's calm? Or does the last lavae interfere too much?

Check out my other Dragonfly run. I use Dfly as a barrier to the last lavae to avoid the lavae's attacks while fighting Dfly. This strategy doesn't work as well anymore since lavae behavior has been altered. People commonly just wall themselves up to avoid the lavae altogether.
