Hello dude! I see you mounted the Float X2 on this spectral:ON. Is it much better? I was thinking of a similar upgrade because I prefer the coil feel! Great that the bike can fit the big shock!

Comparing to original one, Fox Float (DPS ?), this one (X2) has way more tuning options, which i do like to play with. Fits perfectly into this frame, no problem at all! Never ridden coil damper before (hope to do so soon, but not on this bike). With coil onboard, I expect a much bigger difference than "low-end vs high-end" air shock comparison, much more responsive than air (with spring matched properly). (wish I could ride it again, soon. I haven't done that for quite some time now unfortunately, due Canyon's unclear battery issue - as of Jan 2025)

Damn I'm not sure if I'm missing the end cap on my front spectral CFR wheel because it doesn't lock down

This sounds strange, is that a brand new bike? I would check with Canyon, to see what is wrong.

@@michal.stachanczyk I just talked to canyon and they said that the end caps fall off in shipping. I checked everywhere and not able to locate it. They're going to look into lol.

Hello sir/ i plan to buy these hc1501 wheels mullet to upgrade my 2023 levo carbon . How’s the performance? Pros and cons ?
@michal.stachanczyk10 ай бұрын
Hi @rnresponder3006, really nice & stiff wheel set, way better then alloy (no issue with rim bending), feels like the bike goes exactly where you want, less flex then alloy (especially with rear wheel). I have to keep an eye on the tension of the spokes, after a few rides they became slightly loose, I had to tighten them slightly. I don't see that much of the problem with this. I did the same with alloy set (HX 1700 in the past). I'm a heavy rider on the heavy bike, riding hard :)

Hi Michal! This is a dream build, love it! I just purchased the cf9 and wondering if the float x2 230x60 is a good upgrade. And it is ok with warranty?
@michal.stachanczyk Жыл бұрын
Thanks @davecionini9311! I've took and posted some pictures on Fox Float X2 clearance, on my social YT tab (last post). There is a plenty of room for this type of shock and it fits the frame with no issues. I've replaced original shock, with another that have exactly the same spec. I didn't even think of replacing with one with bigger stroke (ex. 65mm) or mount length, as that, would definitely, be out of frame compatibility (warranty issues). So, no clearance issues (for the whole shock working space), same size (230mm) and stroke (60mm). I don't see any warranty issues in this case.

Hi I have a CF7 and wanted to change the bars/stem away from the canyon setup. Any issues or recommendations on any wiring issues? Also how has the 170 fork changed the feel with the geo? Putting an X2 on mine after seeing your other video! Thanks
@michal.stachanczyk Жыл бұрын
Hi @joe-dy9we, I used regular stem spacers and I keep the rest of headset, which takes care about wiring here. Fork wise, 170 is perfect for me, be aware I had CF8 version with 150mm, and today you get it with 160mm fork - so roughly, 10mm rise, doesn't seems to be that much of a difference. It makes a bigger difference for me, comparing to 150mm at front in case of original build - but i see no issue when climbing and it's perfect going dh - cheers!
