What is Direct to Film Printing?! DTF is a printing process to create full color t shirt transfers that are weedless and cutless. A layer of ink is laid down on a clear DTF film, topped by a layer of white ink which is then covered in DTF powder. When the powder is cured it will later act as an adhesive when it's applied to any color or type of fabric garment with heat. After heating, the DTF film is peeled away leaving the transfer on the shirt.

Yes it does. I had a board that I stained but never used I’ve been working with sublimation for a month but I tried it and it worked. I used my regular iron set on high heat

UV DTF transfers are a different printer and type of ink. This is for true DTF transfers.

Will dtf adhere to painted wood?

The problem with applying anything with heat to painted wood is the paint gets heated up in the process and that can cause bubbling and/or peeling.

​@SilhouetteSchool there's heat resistant paint specifically made to use on items you will be using heat. Those paints can withstand temperatures up to 600 Fahrenheit. I've used them and they work fine! No bubbling, no peeling, no nothing.
