Very informative info! Thanks so much for sharing🙏🏽 Also, based on your experience with DTF and layered iron on permanent vinyl when it comes to t-shirts, which one would you recommend best when dealing with multiple colors?

Yes, I've used the hack several times now and have washed the various shirts, and so far, so go 👍🏽

Hi Porcha sorry to bother you! so I have a question I made my husband a shirt for his business and it stormed on him today and the ink washed off? & I only printed the lettering on the shirt. I feel so bad... I didn't use no vinyl on the bottom of the design.
@ColorMePorcha Жыл бұрын
Oh no! Can you share a bit more about your process? I.e., material, ink type? This is the process I used for the shirt in the: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6TEnnydjbefh5Y

@@ColorMePorcha Hi love yes absolutely I got 100% cotton shirt light cream color. I printed his information on the film with the same printer canon ix 6800 then i poured the powder on the film once it finished printing, then I placed it under my iron to melt the powder as you said then i placed it on my shirt and ironed it. They came out looking beautiful too I was so proud and happy. I didn’t expect that. Not sure if I need to place HTV before. I also bought the same Yamation DTF powder and Transfer Film A4. Not sure what I did wrong. 🥺
@ColorMePorcha Жыл бұрын
Wow yeah, I'm not sure what went wrong here. I now have several shirts made with this process and never experienced bleeding. After a few washes, the shirts haven't flaked or faded. I would encourage you to try again on a test shirt. One thing to make sure of is that the powder melts correctly. When the powder and ink melt together, the image looks gel-like with a shiny consistency.

@@ColorMePorcha hi love 💕 good morning 🌞 ok I will check and wash all the other shirts I did to see how they came out maybe 🤔 the powder didn’t melt all the way!

Hi Porcha! I really enjoyed your video! I've wanted to try this, but honestly, I'm scared to send it through my sublimation printer. I have a Sawgrass SG1000, and don't want to tear anything up in it by experimenting! What type of printer do you use? And has anyone had any luck doing this with a Sawgrass?? Thanks in advance!
@ColorMePorcha Жыл бұрын
Hi Paige! I use a converted Epson EcoTank, but I am unsure about the Sawgrass.
@paigegaines1226 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your quick reply! I have an Epson Workforce printer that I use for print and cut designs for creating designs on dark color shirts; would I be able to use this one? It’s not an eco tank printer though.

So you didn't use the inkjet printer you use sublimation ink. There's a difference.
@ColorMePorcha Жыл бұрын
Yes, there's a difference. In one of my inkjet printers, I use sublimation ink. The other is regular inkjet ink. Here I used inkjet ink: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2Pdc2qqaNCEh6M Both have so far washed well with no flaking or fading

Have you tried it with a inkjet printer? Does the shirt have e to be 100% cotton?
@flygrrrrl3753 Жыл бұрын
I used an inkjet printer but all inkjets are NOT the same. Some use pigment ink like my Canon Maxify MB2120. And some used dye based inks that are water soluble and will wash out. Pigment inks are like fabric paint and don’t wash out so check your printer before trying the hack with inkjet.

Dark colors need either white ink or white htv behind sublimation htv. Sublimation doesn’t have white ink. If you try the hack without any white sub-layer, you won’t see the colors well. They’ll disappear into the dark fabric.
@Wrightn221 Жыл бұрын
you can only sublimate on dark colors with clear HTV. Look for those videos.
@mssissy1964 Жыл бұрын
Can you put them on colored tshirts?
@ColorMePorcha Жыл бұрын
Sublimation it works best on light colored shirts, so yes you can but you'll want to stick to pale colors so your image will show up.
@flygrrrrl3753 Жыл бұрын
Sublimation ink will NOT work on dark colors. It doesn’t have the white ink which is needed. You can however use sublimation htv with white vinyl as a background.
