I love and have watched all your videos as i have just purchased the brother GTX pro DTG printer and have alot to learn. Do you have ant videos on printing and pretreating sweatshirts and hoodies? I cant seem to find anything really on these garments and nothing on spec sheet for firebird pretreatment?

Thanks, we are working on getting those uploaded, the Christmas had us pretty busy and had to slow down the videos but we are going to be getting back at it hard after the ISS Long beach show. If your close to that show it is a great one to go and learn.

Yes we have done AScolour in the past, we don't have a direct account so we don't always get them in. They work

hey, I really enjoyed the video, it's nice to see what the processes are like in other companies. Out of curiosity, what temperature must the ink reach in the dryer to polymerize well and have extreme resistance to washing? thank you so much 😄
@breakthroughclothing7 ай бұрын
With the inks we use we like to get to 330F for minimum 30 seconds for optimum washing. With that being said also understanding that if the image is 15CC of ink it will need more energy to reach those temperatures so we may need to increase our system to reach that, and the same for vice versa.

How about a gildan safety green work shirt 50-50 blend?
@breakthroughclothing7 ай бұрын
A Gildan is definitely harder to do as it is a looser weave and heavier shirt so more dyes on the shirt. Having the GTX in the shop its harder because we are not able to flash the white in between like Polaris or ROQ. But overall I wouldn't recommend the Gildan or the jerzees 50/50 just simply because of the dye migration as in screen printing your able to use a dye blocker but for DTG your not able to so I would stick with a slighter tighter weave shirt as for now until a Ghost version 2 even better with dye blocking.

How does Ghost pretreat compare to Image Armour Titanium?
@breakthroughclothing3 ай бұрын
I have not personal purchased Titanium to compare and test, only watched videos that they have posted. So at this moment I can't really say anything about it, I just know what our ghost can do, and you can see from our uncut video and print settings our vibrancy and print settings with the GTX. IF we do test we will let you know. Thanks for watching.

Also can you provide the highlight and mask settings when you are printing a CMYK + WHITE on a white shirt?
@breakthroughclothing8 ай бұрын
My personal settings if there is visible white would be (2 or 3) highlight 1 mask with contrast upped to around 15 to help darken the colors since GTX graphics lab doesn't profile for white shirts.

What are your oven settings?
@breakthroughclothing3 ай бұрын
For the ink curing our settings are 340F for 3:20 seconds. This gets our ink to 330F for at least 30 seconds which is what I want.

How are the prints looking after washing. Is there much fading on the CVC tees?
@breakthroughclothing8 ай бұрын
No, I have shirts I wear for work that have over 15 washed and look completely passable. I will say that a lot with wash fastness will be because of the curing of the ink. Because ghost doesn’t drain you can not worry about curing your shirts at the correct time or temps. The red color did dye migrate, and neon yellow needed more ink because of dye migration
