Also depends on which dtg machine your using.

Hey Charley, we print DTG and also use Bella Canvas blanks and I have to say the screen grab you showed was a poor representation of what DTG can do.
@CharleyPangus6 жыл бұрын
I’ve been using a lot of DTG for my merch and I have to say I definitely notice screen printing is higher quality. It’s very minor differences at times so I’m definitely not against DTG or anything.
@aaronporter4846 жыл бұрын
Charley Pangus they both have strengths and weaknesses, but you are correct that Bella Canvas has a great product and the blank definitely matters.

where do you do DTG for you shirts?

Hey, Charley! I actually work at a garment printing shop in Gilbert, AZ that specializes in the DTG process. The image that you screencapped has been misprinted. You can see it in the feet of the L and the S, they're doubled. It also looks like there's a lot of overspray, which is why it looks so blurry. That means that the platten was set too low during printing. DTG should look like it came off an inkjet printer. If properly printed, it actually has a much higher resolution result with better image quality than screenprinting. Just wanted to clarify. Thank you!

I agree Matt, I'm very familiar with both DTG and screen printing. The print samples he shows are both awful!

Wouldnt the DTG printer you use make a difference in the quality

What about the smell of vinegar the pretreatment of DTG usually leaves on a shirt?
@HrvojeLivnjak6 жыл бұрын
screen printing all the way :) . like you said, Charley, it lasts longer and the quality is much better. the only thing that I talked with the printers they say that up to a 50-100 is cheaper to use DTG and from 100 to more screen prints. That's why all of these POD sites usually have crappy prints or they are washed out pretty quickly and it sucks :/

hey Charley what's the best blend for a shirt so they don't shrink when washing them?
@fuqifiknow11226 жыл бұрын
Hey, Goodvibe! If you want to ensure a shirt doesn't shrink then polyester/cotton is your best friend! Get as close to a 50/50 blend as possible and that will definitely help prevent shrinkage and loss of shape!

Jason Enz Hey there, I’m about to do some prints on the B&C 3001 shirt in their Heather Colours. Would you recommend screen printing on these and to use Water colour screen printing? I’ll only be doing left chest logos that are maximum 10x5 cm but want the best possible quality. These are the details of the 3001 shirts below, and Ath. Heather will be one of the colours I use, so just want to get a professional opinion on if this will be the best method for the shirt. Thank you for any input you may give! Heather CVC/Blend Colors: 52% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton, 48% poly (Ath. Heather - 90% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton, 10% poly)

Burak Sezgin - hey Burak! How did you plan to cure the ink? Poly gasses out its dye at around 300°...causes dye migration (the dye in the shirt will gas into the ink and tint the ink). Water base will air dry but without a dryer it'll take days to fully dry. Have you screen printed before? ~Jason Enz @ENZPRINTCO
@Burakiosaurus6 жыл бұрын
Hey Jason, total newbie to screen printing and am based in London, UK, so have been sourcing a few suppliers and getting quotes. The ink will be black onto an athletic heather tee; black and red onto a white tee then black, brown and green onto a white tee. Any tips for speaking to the printers I'm in contact with re: the ink the use etc...? It's ok it it takes days to dry fully should they not have a dryer, as long as the product looks good quality at the end!

Hey Charley! my designs have multiple colors/shades so screen printing probably wont be the best option for me. But should i use DTG method or Plastisol heat transfers for more complex colors? And if so is there a good print shop that offers those methods and uses bella canvas? thanks! really appreciate all your help

Can i use your designs to print on my shirts i wanna open a clothing line I have sent dm to you on instagram caot_sanusi. Thank you
@fuqifiknow11226 жыл бұрын
That's not really how the clothing line game works. If you want to start a successful line, you're going to want to either design your stuff yourself or develop a brand identity and core message and then bring a designer on who believes in that and make them your partner. Either way, you want original designs that are wholely unique to your clothing line.

You can't use mine but you can find a designer to make you some artwork! Goodluck :]
