I’m curious has it ever come to bite you throwing back keepers and not measuring them before you have your limit?
@dthao926 ай бұрын
Yes it has, it happened once awhile back on Pine Flat for a Central Valley Kayak event and there has been multiple events where i almost didnt bag a limit because I was tossing them back and not measuring smaller 14-15" keepers

What was the payout on the first place spot? Entry was $250 for Saturday and Sunday correct? Have to say i really like ur style of fishing. Aggressive with intelligence and focus. Often u see people get a lil sloppy when they start trying to fish fast and aggressively. Obviously that wins tournaments. Congrats on another W has to feel good bro haha. Well done and thanks for taken us along for the ride!

Does he click in the bait caster when the fish starts fighting and use his thumb as the drag?
@wsonphan806 ай бұрын
I noticed that too. Seems that way.
@nejifps58146 ай бұрын
@@wsonphan80 i never saw anyone do that before but i saw someone comment it on a tiktok like 3/4 days ago and then it just so happened i see him do it. Probably not a terrible idea

I’ve been doing this ever since I’ve started using a baitcast reel. I don’t like the drag on the baitcaster so I have my drag tightened down all the way. I prefer to manually give line to the fish. I just have more control this way

Is it me or do you throw keepers back before you have a limit because you know they arent winning fish😂.. congrats man your a beast
@dthao926 ай бұрын
Depends on the bite lol. The time i waste measuring a small keeper, i could have made another cast and catch a better quality fish. I knew what it was going to take to do well on that lake and when the bites happen you have to capitalize on the flurrys and try to catch a big one.
