Thank you for your great reaction and appreciation of our phenomenal Aussie treasure, John Farnham! I think you can definitely understand why, like so many Australians, I have loved him for 50+ years, along with his awesome band of talented musicians. Please watch many more of Johns 6 decades of hit songs. There are heaps! ...Get well soon John. Sending all my love, light and well wishes. xo Deb

John has said that he sings every song as if it will be the last time he gets to sing it. He loves singing and gives love to everyone including his band and the audience. That is why we love him. Please react to You’re the Voice or Age of Reason from the same concert with the orchestra.

That’s a Beatles song. I don’t usually like anyone messing with a Beatles song but I make an exception with John.

Going to a John concert is kind of like going home. There is so much love flowing. We are so lucky to have had 50 years of his singing. He is currently recovering from mouth cancer treatment including jaw reconstruction, so add your love to his recovery ❤❤❤

We are so lucky to have grown up with john's music, he is one of the BEST singers/performers in the entire world.. You should react to more of john's music but always do live performances... He also has a documentary about his life coming out next month (Australia only unfortunately) but check out the trailer "john farnham: finding the voice" Great reaction again Neal.. we love you ❤❤

This concert was advertised as John and his Big Band in typical Aussie understatement, it's a 100+ piece orchestra for crying out loud. lol A couple of songs worth checking have been mentioned below, plus these are worth a look also. The reason you haven't heard of him is because the US music industry is a closed little club. When John Farnham went to the US they didn't know which genre to put him in so his US promotions manager got him a couple of gigs in a little jazz club, where the MC introduced him as Jack Phantom. Couldn't even be bothered getting his name correct, so being a bit disheartened he wandered home to concentrate on his loyal fan base. The experience did give him inspiration to write a couple of good songs about missing his family, like this one. -Burn For You.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoGzp4Kehdije6M -Angels.. Notice how he holds the mike below his chest, both mikes are a metre away, which he does all the time to not drown out the other singers. John and Lisa Edwards, a top singer in her own right, and one of John's back up singers for 20+ years. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5CVf32Ifsl1hZo -Please Don't Ask Me.. This one with Olivia Newton John, who we have recently lost. John has also had major cancer surgery including removal of part of his jaw and we may not hear him sing again. So let's enjoy this one as well.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKa5kKeQhKmZgZo -When Something Is Wrong With My Baby.... And even when he is singing with one of the most powerful voices on the planet, Jimmy Barnes, he still put the mike away from his face and closer to Jonny Diesel on guitar. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4bCk3aZnamKfJY -When The War Is Over… Possibly one of his greatest vocals. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ope6o4uZasqBbsk -Or is the greatest. Gethsemane.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWbaoICQqaifnqs

Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't the closing song of this particular recorded concert. This was the closing song of this particular encore. You see him on the DVD going backstage after singing this song and listening to the cheers of the crowd. After the crowd and some of the orchestra started cheering 'Sadie, Sadie', he came back on stage again for another encore and sang Sadie and finished with 'It's a Long Way to the Top (if you want to Rock and Roll)'. Quite a few people think it was the last song though! :-)

John is such a humble talented man. He is loved by everyone that hears him. He actually turned down Queen who asked him to front them after Freddy passed away and has sung with many international stars. We simply ❤️ him.

The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra love playing for John. That song was encore after 2 hours of that voice. He always tells us to be careful going home. No, when John was young, that was when it was hard for him. Now he is loved.

It's probably already been posted but I'm going to reiterate, this is a Beatles song written by John Lennon and when John Lennon heard this version by John Farnham he said, " this is the way I intended the song to sound"
