DT, I agree! They are absolutely grooming him for super stardom. They know EXACTLY what they have with JK and his talent! He isn't JUST a vocalist, a dancer, beautiful human, performer and artist. He is ALL of that and more. Very few have "IT" like JK!

I don't think he is being groomed. he was a boy with ambition/passion and now he is a man with ambition/ passion. BTS, especially the 3J were always interested in MJ style. dynamite they did MJ style. I remember JK saying that when he got this song from Andrew, he sat down and drew his plan. JK is very creative and plans everything. He, in his BE interview with Jhope, talked about having 3 MVs when he releases his mini album. now 2 or 3 yrs later he released 3 MVs. He did not get all the songs when he went to US to record in April. He got them much before and he clearly picked and chose most of the songs before he made that first trip in April. This song happens to be a good one for incorporating MJ style and I think Jk went for it. JK knows what he wants and he goes for it, like his self-vocal training, instead of a trainer.his dance training,he worked hard for what he is today If you look at all his songs and MVs, shows that he went for versatility and showcasing his talents in different ways. I will never underestimate JK. Anyway this is my opinion

And during this break no company producer helped him (pdogg and other company producers helped JM because he used to be Pdogg friend). It's thanks to an outsider (Scooter who introduced JK to Andrew Cirkut and Watt) seeing Jungkook potential and reaching out to Jungkook. Otherwise hybe was happy giving Jungkook nothing. Just how Jk got ZERO MV during bts era while others got 10 MVs.

I only started following BTS because of JK, wishing for his solo debut one day. Listening to his voice i was sorry that he sang so little. When he danced I was sorry that the cameramen didn't frame him more often. Then I went looking for videos with the focus on JK. I knew he could give much more. This! I've always thought the company sees JK as the ticket to expand reach into other demographics that may have not been exposed to BTS ,or KPop in general, because their lanes seldom meet. I am seeing so many people now being interested after discovering JK and starting to want to learn more about him and then BTS. Like you, even though I believe that all BTS members are fantastically talented, JK is seen as the most likely to succeed in mainstream. When some solo stans of other members scream injustice to their biases because JK is 'favoured' by the company, they don't realise that if JK successfully penetrates mainstream, this will ultimately bring benefit to the team as a whole when they get back together in 2025 and gain their biases new fans.

Technically, he has until late 2027 because all of BTS have those extensions until they are 30 years old (real 30 not Korean 30).So he technically can be a solo artist until 2025 when BTS are slated to come back. Then tour with BTS until 2027. But it's up to him.

Let us not forget he has military service, and the reuniting of BTS. It will blow us out of the water when BTS reunites. He is a star in his own right and if the contract was not signed I might agree with you about the grooming for greater things. Who knows that may happen but BTS and ARMY are first with JK. yeah jungkook has always had a very strong "pop star" vibe to him and he himself wants to be acknowledged as a pop star so it's no wonder why he has such a strong superstar aura. i also think a big part of it has to do with his confidence. he's always been a solid performer but he used to be way more shy however nowadays he's just oozing confidence and charisma and that definitely comes across when he's performing which is also why a lot of his performances feel very seductive and charming, like they always say, confidence is sexy haha... he's definitely in his prime right now and as an army who's been here for around 5 years i couldn't be more proud of him and his growth.

Hello, DT Parker, I love your reactions. It is great to see Jungkook in the flowering of his confidence, and his abilities are phenomenal. One thing that I remember about Michael Jackson was his social consciousness, that he took huge risks in his work politically and socially, and was known world wide as a Prince of Peace. They admired and felt supported by him in prisons, favelas, and in mean streets... His work embodied an activism beyond the admiration of his prodigious technical skills. I see that capacity to lead others towards transformation echoed in Agust D Snooze, in Jimin´s Set Me Free Pt. 2, in BTS´s Film Out, J Hope´s Lollapalooza. I will look forward to seeing JK´s spiritual and social growth as he goes forward. This is an exciting time.

JK is testing himself because he is very perfectionist and wants to learn and improve at everything and is very critical of himself and judges himself too much. I thought that he is taking the opportunity of the solos to get to know himself outside of BTS and to be able to grow even more because he doesn't consider himself good enough... although it is not true but he thinks so. I sincerely believe that he is showing us what he is worth and opening the door to chapter 2 of BTS, which will be more mature, I believe… I don’t thing BTS want to separate their group in a nearly future because they are family and they are suffering from being separated and having to stop their careers as a group but at the same time he is testing and evaluating himself and valuing what they form as a group. I agree that he has the "IT" factor and is perhaps the idol with the best chance to break through into the western market. Now, as an ARMY, I have always felt that he had a sort of MJ quality to his performances, especially when I saw Dreamers at the world cup. The similarities were evidently there. Now, unfortunately, I am slightly disappointed that the majority of his choreography and outfits with this album are highly influenced by Michael Jackson. Why, you ask? Well, despite having the clear stage presence, he needs his own individuality. He cannot be relying on mere artist influence to showcase his amazing abilities. He needs to stand out on his own without the comparisons that are being presented through his dance and choice of wear. For the western market, he needs to be himself. If not, they will just brand him a wannabe, which he's not, but people in the US will still call him out on it. HYBE or he, himself, need to ensure he can be a viable idol without the need to dress/sound alike to another artist. I love BTS. I have been an ARMY for a few years now, and can guarantee that he will be incredibly successful as his own person. As sad as it is to say, he needs to speak better English as his interviews are slightly awkward and is unable to showcase his truly personality as he does in his native country. I get that Bang PD Nim wants to break into the US market to eventually get to the Japan and China one, but without a way to properly communicate, he won't. I'm not saying he should perfect his English by any means, but enough to have a basic conversation on shows. Jungkook is a star all on his own. He clearly has the drive and talent, but he won't go far if not guided properly. I'm not saying this to sound mean, but I know how tough the US market is to break into and how judgmental it can be. Jungkook's amazing, he just needs to stay focused on his goals.

Amazing channel. I've always had this androgynous look as Jung Kook and other guys in K POP, but in my case it was fuel for bullies when I was growing up. I embraced it, used it to my advantage in my acting / modeling career, I was almost the face of Leon in these new Resident Evil games :) To anyone who's ever been a victim of hate / violence because of their appearance, gender, orientation, race : DO NOT ever let a hateful notion 'there's something wrong with me' sink in. Trust me, it's a recipe for self hatred and compulsive anxieties later on. When we suffer and we need a break, it's only natural to think: 'maybe if I wasn't 'different', if I was 'normal' I would be accepted. No, haters will always find something else to prey upon. They're extremely toxic who can see your potential and value but will drag you down with intent and hideus determination, when they notice a slightest sign of insecurity. Remember; There's never anything wrong with you.

You could be right about "the company" grooming him, etc and I had worried that with all of this success in his solo projects, but now I don't. He seems to seriously want to be back with the whole gang...I mean his selflessness in enlisting at the same time with Jimin, V and RM is just that, selfless. He could be out there on a world tour (which so many thought was probable after this Golden promo, etc) just shows he has even more integrity and loyalty than we even knew...love the guy and cannot wait to see them all back together....

DT…. when I watch this, when it first came out, he opened with that white shirt on my mediate thought was, OMG, then, when it switched to him in that shiny suit, I sat there, watching him, my jaw dropped, eyes wide open, and I won’t even tell you my thoughts of him in that suit. The same reaction of him in the suit on a Jimmy Fallon show or rather, I think it was a tux. I have watched so many reactions to this song which I absolutely love and the choreography, is the best. I watched your reaction a month ago and again today after RM and Tae have enlisted and JK and Jimin tomorrow. Jungkook accomplished so much ( they all did) in so little time and I think he's truly satisfied with Golden and how it was received. He chose BTS over his solo career. During his promotions, he repeatedly said he missed his band mates during the promotions and couldn't wait to be onstage with them. He's amazing and can't wait to see what he has in store for us when he returns. Take care DT, appreciate your love for all the members even though you have a bias who is an absolute angel.

JK has stated that he would rather be in BTS as a group than be a solo artist, but this won't be the last of his solo work. I don't think anyone is going to tear BTS apart. The guys love each other and know they are the strongest when they are together. Plus, they are all looking forward to coming back and performing together.

Jk has said so many times that BTS is his life, and it gose for everyone of the group, they have all said BTS comes first. You can see he means it in this song with the DNA and black swan references. He also said that on the Jimmy Fallon show, he thanked the boys and ARMY. i love JK he is so talented, and he will go far💜💜💜💜

jungkook is constantly talking about wanting to perform with the whole group and saying he misses the members... yes JK does have his own goals and aspirations as a solo artist, he wants to do a solo tour in the future (he's been talking about it since 2020), he wants to release more songs solo and do more solo stuff (so do other members) however they have said time and time again that their priority is the group and their solo stuff will come in second place. so unless some internal issue happens that is so insane and big to the point where it causes issues within the group, i don't think you need to worry. if there's one thing the bts members have is love for each other, they're basically family. there's no doubt that within just a few months JK has shown immense potential as a solo artist (he's undeniably a huge pop star) and he has shown that he can pratically reach bts numbers all by himself BUT that doesn't mean that they're suddenly gonna push him and forget about bts as whole, that doesn't make much sense and bts themselves don't want it either... they want to be in the group for as long as possible.
