It is nice that Jhope learned how to rap from RM and SUGA coaching him but he still developed his own style and Despite being around each other nearly 365/24/7..They each keep their individual styles and play off each others strength to make masterpiece after masterpiece without losing their unique sounds...Just by listening to their mixtapes you can hear just how differently they each approach rap and yet they perfectly blend together on group projects....There is nothing like them

I think these days, especially in kpop, people think speed or a good flow makes someone the 'best'. While these are important and impressive skills to have, it doesn't make you the best. There is a lot that goes into being a good rapper, especially if you want to be considered to be the 'best'. BTS rapline have speed, flow, cadence, stage presence ect. but their capstone is their lyrics. The language barrier and the cultural differences make it hard for anyone not from Korea to experience the true genius of their lyrics, wordplay, double, triple entendres, poetry and clever, often deep meaning. The diverse topics that they cover with the versatility on how they deliver them is why the BTS rapline is superior in my opinion.

I was a fan of hip-hop well before BTS was a thing; my first vinyl was Run DMC’s Tougher Than Leather (yes I’ve been listening to hip hop for *that* long). In my opinion, BTS’ rap line is the best in the industry. They have the bars that they write themselves, the wordplay, the flow, the delivery, the stage presence, the knowledge, etc. that make them a cut above the others. I thought I had to share this comment I heard from a rapper who reacts to other artists here on yt~ he said that suga's speed actually reminds him of eminem and he described suga's style as like a car that is accelerating at a speed of 60wpm then suddenly goes back to 10wpm then back at 60, with melodic changes in between. Then his control and the squeaky, high-pitch sounds he makes that you wouldnt even notice but he does it even on live perf🔥 This man is like a rap machine with all the things he can do to his voice.

Like I feel like whoever edited this video didn't even give a second thought to the verses they picked for Hobi. Like don't get me wrong--Cypher 4, ON, Tear, Ugh!--all god tier. But first of all, one of the parts attributed to him in Ugh was Yoongi's part, second, Second Grade? Hip Hop Phile? Ma City? Hangsang? Blue Side? Rain? Love Maze? Her? There were just a lot more technical verses they could have used. Like we talk about his swag all the time (and he has it in droves, for sure) but he's got a lot of range in tone and a lot of agility and speed in his flow. I want an edit that puts that on a pedestal.
