I went out of my way to see Dua in a small theatre in Atlanta opening up for Troye, and I was one of the few people there to see her-let alone to scream out Be The One lyrics. I’m so happy to see her achieve her wildest dreams of headlining Glastonbury. So beautiful to witness this moment

They are both great artists (I like Dua’s music better, but I love Troye Sivan and his unapologetic queerness too). She’s become a great artist. In the early days of stardom, she had absolutely no stage presence despite her powerful voice, but she took all the understandable (if mean) criticisms to heart without getting offended and used them to deeply improve her dancing and stage presence, and she is now on par with the Kylie Minogue(s) and Britney Spears(es) of the world in her quality of live performances. So much respect for an artist whose growth we can see before our eyes. She really worked hard to get better at her craft. She is a so much better singer, dancer, and performer now than when I first saw her live in 2018.
