Totally elegant solution with the license plate delete plate. Worked beautifully for me as well. Love that you can use that solution to make your OBA seem completely custom, without having to cut up the Jeep. Many thanks for sharing your experiences here for all of us saps who cant come up with their own ideas.

j1mmyr1chter that’s why I made the video man glad it worked out! I put two bolts with nuts on the back through the pic plate delete to keep it more secure I’m really happy with the way it came out

T Mogo116 I was even more lucky. My tag delete plate was steel and screwed on. Originally had a bottle opener attached, so I had to lose that. Honestly never used it anyway, so no big loss.

AHHH The JCR One I was going to order that one! But no one could tell me if the bottle opener was riveted on I didnt want to have to drill it out. plus the jeep comes with 5 bottle openers anyway lol open the door and use the latch hook

I like the set up pretty rad but not sure how I like the hoses just out there, maybe put a 90* so that they come in from the bottom if that makes sense, and I’m in Fl so we get loads of moister in our air, how are you going to drain your tank over time ? I know it’s aluminum so it won’t rust but still

@randallwheaton2664 жыл бұрын
Love the setup! I just ordered the arb twin compressor and I already have the Klein train horn kit but I am looking to add in a 2-2.5 gallon reserve air tank. My question is that on your setup when you added the tank did you just run a line straight to the tank from the compressor? Did you need anything else like pressure switch and or any other items? Also looking to hook it up to a 6 switch panel similar to the one you have did you have any problems with it or are you satisfied or would have done something different? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to mount those side racks so that they don't have to be completely removed everytime i want to remove the whole hardtop? they look like they bolt down where the hardtop would.
@TMogo1167 жыл бұрын
That is a good question I didnt think of, I would try mounting the hardtop right on top of them they arent too thick and just tighten the hard top right on top of them, the hardtop extends down past the soft top channel anyway I dont see anything leaking from there and you still tighten the rest as normal

@TMogo1165 жыл бұрын
@@jon_bobs_woodworking ok so where the plastic license plate cover clips into the body, cut off the clips and drill out two small holes, I used some stainless bolts small enough to fit though the square holes on the quarter and some lock washers and nuts to secure the plastic to the tub better so it wouldnt move in or out, for the quick disconnect its a combination use the a rb quick disconnect going through the plastic and lock it onto another quick disconnect. It sounds weird but I used the arb disconnect outside, sandwhiched the plastic lic plate hole cover and then another disconnect behind it that fit though the hole in the tub. Then ran the airline with the normal end on it right to the second disconnect. Get me?

Dont put gas in passanger compartment. If it releses fumes thats a major fire hazard, not smart.
@MrPaddy10001116 жыл бұрын
To be fair, a fuel tank shouldn't leak any vapours unless it's faulty. If its hot enough inside the car to melt the plastic container then your probably on fire anyway so you have more to worry about. A lot of cars have plastic fuel tanks and the fuel pump is accessible under the rear passenger seat and it's never been a problem before. If you mount them externally then people can steal them, steal from them or worst case, make a hole in them and torch the vehicle. Also if you roll the car with fuel tanks on the outside you can crush them easily and they burst leaving 10-25L of fuel over the outside of the vehicle. Let alone if you have a crash. That, plus a hot enough exhaust or a spark from a winch motor or starter motor and your going to have a bad day. A good quality fuel tank mounted securely inside the vehicle is a much safer option.
@familytraditiontransportat79516 жыл бұрын
Patric except what you're forgetting is that as gas heats up in a sealed container, it creates pressure. Which is why a vehicle's fuel tank is vented to the outside... Yes a new car has a fuel tank mounted on the underside and you do access the pump from under the rear seat on some, none however are actually inside the passenger compartment. None vent the fumes (which are the more flammable part of gasoline BTW) to the inside of your ride. Jerry cans go on the outside...

Relax a little take a chill pill lol. To much crap under the hood blocks air flow to the engine...you need circulation under there for cooling not to mention the fact that the air compressor is going to get really hot under there and it's got a lot of plastic on it look how easily you cracked that connection lol . I do like where you mounted the air connector for external air hook up and moving the license plate that was good. Oh ya and why is it so important to you to tell everyone how you got the air gauge for free what's that all about "full disclosure" lol
