Dual-band vs Triple-Band. What GNSS RTK receiver to choose for your use case?

Hello, why only dual band receivers of the same type as base station are able to use the correction data? What means "same type"?

Thank you for the question. There's in general 2 types of dual band receivers: L1+L2 and L1+L5. Let us answer with an example: if you have an L1+L5 rover and you connect it to a L1+L2 base station, it will only be able to use L1 correction data, and not the L2 one. As L5 correction data is missing this will lead to very poor performance on your rover.
