This is an interesting and honest review. I was at the Engwe stand at the Eurobike trade fair. They let me ride the Engwe X20. I really liked it and had a lot of fun trying it out. Maybe less is more here.

Yeah, their bikes are of very good value. This one is too heavy for my taste, but is very smooth.

I thoroughly enjoy mine, I usually ride mine set on sport 3-5 because since I don't pedal I need the extra boost. My only gripe really is that it does not get the distance as advertised and the throttle is on the same side as the digital control panel so anytime you want to change speed or anything you have to take your thumb off the throttle (decrease in speed). My wife has a Lectric and they were smart, the throttle is on the same side as the gear shift. And the Lectric recharges. I ride 16 miles and I am down 40%, she is still at 100% because the downhill recharged her battery.

Yeah, Engwe battery life is not that close to the promised range. But it will get better once you get used to optimal style of riding.
