Very interesting method of pouring. I love the play of the orange and black and beautiful cells have developed. Really well done doing two canvases together. I have been using a similar burgundy/red and I'm not sure about it colour wise, I'm always disappointed with that section of my pours. Think I might try your technique and sub the red for blues maybe or a deep purple. It's probably a personal thing I always dismiss clothing in that colour when I'm shopping, Lol! Selecting the colours for pours is half the fun and you have found some great combo's here, keep up the good work. 😁👏

I really do like your technique so beautiful and I want to try it but I’m thinking about mixing color with only water. Do you think it would come out like this? My paintings will show in public the end of April 2018 for exhibit and I would love to show this kind of technique. Thanks
@symphonyofcolors20176 жыл бұрын
Thanks Judith. This effect happens because of the density of pigment in the suspended form so adding only water will depend on what kind of acrylic paints you are using. If you use soft body acrylics, water may work. In that case keep the paints to slightly thicker side. If you are planning to use thicker hard body acrylics, you will have to give more base to pigments to make them of flowy consistency and a pouring medium/acrylic medium/gloss medium can help you. You can even use Elmers glue or PVA glue to give a base to pigments in the acrylic paint. Generally that ratio is 70% acrylic paint+30% added medium. You can then change consistency by adding water. I hope this information is helpful. All the best for your exhibition in April :)

Beautiful outcome! Your color choices are very interesting and it's surprising how well they turn out! I noticed you mentioned that you are always wondering how it WILL turn out. I have not started trying this technique, but I feel I will be hindered if I practice too much on small pieces. With my pain and mobility issues, I hate the thought of having a flop then needing to sand down a large canvas to start over, but I "Feel Big Emotions" and want to start big very quickly! =) I love your name "Symphony of Colors"! Very clever! Could you please reference your music choices in your descriptions? I am always checking video descriptions for mentions of great music to add to my playlist for Music to Create Art. Thank you for another beautiful piece of art! Subscribed.

Thanks Sewlambitious. You can do any amount of planning but it is one technique, where result always surprise/excite you in the end. This set is was commissioned by someone and I included colors of the room decor in the painting and added few complementary colors. I am happy that you liked it:)
@joanneking6986 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing this. Its lovely! I am a beginner and have a question about the swipe technique - when you swipe here, the black seems to become the "outline" of the other coloured cells. Is that because you start the swipe at the black line? Would a different colour become the outline if you started elsewhere? Does it work with paler colours or white? Thank you for your time
@symphonyofcolors20176 жыл бұрын
Joanne King. Your observation is right. Black outline came because I swiped with black. So, black covered the other paints and a layering happened. The color at the bottom, then surfaced forming cells and black became outline. It will happen with whatever color you will choose to swipe. Sometimes, you can do two way swipe and thus making cell borders of your choice colors and multiple colors. Check this video for a two way swipe kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3aXc2x-h7-Xarc you can see result of an whitish swipe here kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmO2ZZxue8Z7nNE Hope this is helpful. If you have any question or you would like to see a swipe with specific color, please let me know and I will do that experiment for you.

What is the mix recipe? Paint,water, silicone,etc?
@symphonyofcolors20176 жыл бұрын
We prepare specific medium and call it pouring medium. Then mix the pouring medium with the acrylic paint. Please check this link to see how the final paint mix is prepared kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGqpZKaco9aAfqM In the end just before stating the painting we mix few drops of silicon oil in the paint and this helps in the separation of paints and formation of cells.
@sheikhiqra27656 жыл бұрын
i liked it but just want to ask you that those cells or bubbles style which came after you swipe colour pouring ... how it comes? i mean is this only because of "silicon oil" in it............? or there is also any other way for it beacuse i want to try pouring and want thoses cells style but dont know how can it came without silicon oil. please reply me anybody who know the answer.... thanks
@symphonyofcolors20176 жыл бұрын
Sheikh Iqra, the different colors of these paints have different chemical composition and different viscosity. These separate when these are mixed together. The trick is to mix the paint in a specific consistency. Silicon helps in keeping these different paints separated. Please watch my video on how to prepare paints for pouring. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGqpZKaco9aAfqM
@sheikhiqra27656 жыл бұрын
