I'm currently attempting this swap. seeing the cutting and flanging of new lines would have helped a lot in your video, I'm now a sitti g duck trying to figure out how to remedy. still a good video though.

bradbrown0766 I actually used the existing lines and used compression fittings on them to match to the lines comes from the new MC. Saved a lot of trouble in trying to bend new lines and was cheaper than purchasing new lines as well.
@KSuspension8 жыл бұрын
bradbrown0766 that's why you see me cutting the line, then you just see a compression in between Didn't have to swedge new lines :-)

KSuspension oh! ok. damn. i didn't catch that. no worries, still fixable. I'll be getting new lines tomorrow morning. Thanks for the reply. Heard a lot about your company and products. I actually have a pending order with you for injector upgrades. I don't think they've shipped yet, but I'm excited.

bradbrown0766 Thank you for the support! I've been a little buried with orders from the Christmas weekend, and dealing with shipping companies, but it should be out tomorrow or Saturday at the latest. Sorry for the delay, I'll make sure there's a sticker in the box for you though!!

I have a video request for rear disc brake conversion. Do you have any plans to make a video on a C 8.25 rear disc brake conversion? If so, I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Yes, we are actually about to do a C8.25 disc brake swap shortly

+Raffi Kassardjian Great. I read an article on KJ to XJ disc brake conversion. I have the donor disc brakes parts just need to install. I also bought conversion emergency brake cables from Crown Auto; DBC-06 & DBC-07. I appreciate your step by step instructions. Look forward to your video. Thanks again!

i have a question i unfortunately just replace my brake system in my 88 do i have to replace the master cylinder why i as is because my brake lines have seen better days thank and by the way very clean xj
@KSuspension7 жыл бұрын
Trevor Capps Thank you And you don't have to replace your MC if you don't want to/if it's still ok If you're upgrading to the dual diaphragm system like we did, then yes, booster & MC you'll need to swap
@TheTrevorcapps7 жыл бұрын
Ok what fittings did you use or what do you call the causr how you did it looks pretty easy and thank you for responding
@KSuspension7 жыл бұрын
Trevor Capps you'll have to make new brake lines for the front, the rear one you can bend to fit. We just cut the lines and used compression fittings with a new line to make it to the new MC Works well and saves a bunch of time

Im just doing a reg booster swap out. Not planning on disconnecting the brake lines just hoping to move the master out of the way. Will i still need to bleed?
@KSuspension5 жыл бұрын
usually you have to bleed any time you open the system
@stevestevenson2895 жыл бұрын

@KSuspension4 жыл бұрын
You'll need a new MC
@TexasRedneck8 жыл бұрын
how do you bleed the master cylinder?
@hndaxr400rdr8 жыл бұрын
+TexasRedneck You can bench bleed it(recommended) or just bleed the brakes like normal with a second person until all air is out. Or use a pneumatic bleeder as well but if you can bench bleed your master, it would be the best way of doing it, just use a vice, and a rod with a couple hoses and brake fluid.
@7t2z286 жыл бұрын
Bench bleeding is the only way to make sure you get all the air out of the master cylinder. You can usually get a master cylinder bleed kit at an auto parts store. I has some clear silicone tubing and cone-shaped fittings. You put the tube on the fittings, and insert the cone end into the fluid ports, then the ends of the tube into the master cylinder reservoir, making sure they are under the fluid level. Then just slowly pump and release the piston. Do that until you don't see any more air coming out.

Only hacks use compression unions on brakes. Most likely illegal

It’s since been changed. Was a temporary fix until we got new lines on, appreciate your concern though!
