Those Z-Cut are fantastic knives! They fly so far under the radar, too. It's a little bit ridiculous. I wish they started with a bit thicker stock and used distal taper so the flex was towards the end of the blade, but I'll take what I can get.

That's a super interesting idea! Yeah I would not mind if they were a little less flexy, but I still like them! Also would not mind if they went a little thinner at the edge, but you know... Nerds will find something to complain about lol.

Seems like useful little tool. Maybe doesn't appeal to the kind of sharpener I am, but i think the gauntlet would be awesome for people that are intimidated by freehand sharpening, don't really know much about sharpening, or people that want something that can put a quick, useful edge on their knives. Definitely seems nicer than stuff like the pull throughs, and probably better made than the tumbler rolling ones i would guess.

Yeah, I actually use it for my friends kitchen knives because it's super fast and they don't care about an edge in the 80-100 BESS range. Definitely gives you some advantage of angle control. I do still love freehand though!
