badass setup

coltcomphbar Thanks man. It was a decent set up but just really, really heavy. I now use a Crye Precision Airframe ATX, and since this upload, have owned RNVG’s, DTNVG’s, and PVS-15’s.

Wheelchair Operator i just picked up my second pvs14 and ordered a MOD D14 bridge for them. Hope it works out

coltcomphbar Nice! You’ll enjoy having dual tubes, for sure! Dual 14’s are heavy, but modular, and personally speaking, I’d still rather run two than one! 🤘🏼

coltcomphbar As for my favorite, it’s a tough one, there are things I love about the 15’s (optic quality, points for retention, shuts off when disconnected from dovetail, focusable IR illuminator, ruggedness) and things I like about the DTNVG’s (the articulation, how lightweight they are, ability to run a battery pack with an adaptor).

I’ve upgraded quite a bit since then, but I will say that, albeit heavy, dual 14’s on an articulating bridge is an extremely versatile set-up. You can always upgrade to a true binocular housing later on down the road, as well.

This set up required quite a bit. I just used the ones that came with the TNVC Mohawk.

How much did u pay for the tubes just looked them up and they are 13K
@WheelchairOperator Жыл бұрын
I traded a Mk20 SSR for the 14’s and some other stuff (a helmet, mount, full power PEQ-15, etc), if I recall correctly. These tubes definitely didn’t cost $13,000. Are you looking to buy nods?

Unfortunately you’re not going to be able to purchase night vision that cheap. None that are going to work well, that it is. I think most people fall victim to the whole “cheap night vision” thing, and they unfortunately end up just wasting money. It’s cliche, but I’ll put it this way, “good night vision, isn’t cheap. Cheap night vision, isn’t good”. I would highly recommend to look into the PVS-14 (which is a monocular, basically just one of what you see in this footage) and save up awhile longer to ensure your investment is worth while. Possibly even find a used unit with some blemishes in the image. That would suit you and your partner much, much better. I promise. Depending on where you’re from, you might be able to source a decent Gen.2+, but at that point, might as well purchase Gen.3: let me know if you need any assistance finding something, I’d be more than happy to help you.

J Echo Arms Fast Attach Plate. It’s a plastic Velcro lined plate that is MLOK compatible with a pic rail attached to it.
