@@EireHonour i think it was only done in the earliest years ... but got a third rail 3 miles long... and a return rail 3 miles long, short one end, put a few volts across them from the massive substation you have... the ice is gone :)

Second main comment, i was reminded by Eire Honour's comment... this was a way back in the day of drying out transformer oil... short the LV side of a 10/11kv to 240 tx... and feed 240/415 into the HV primary, I am sure Gerry can elaborate (GerryBVR?)

Idea was to put full load CURRENT on everything but not full load volts :),use ohms law

That's a step nearer! Is the RF stone deaf on both systems? Hats off to your microphone there... I can't remember ever hearing line whistle being picked up on camera before.👍
