Thank you so much for this video, you were right, out of the builds I have see on youtube, this is the simpliest and cheapest to get a sink into a van. From the UK, the pump cost about £8, jerry cans, a few quid, if you were to make this, with some smart shopping, can make within a budget of £50-60. I really want to do my own camper van, even though I live in a house, this van would not be used for to live in permanently but to travel around the UK or even Europe for holidays.

You could add a small pressure tank and that would quiet the pump a bit. I would anchor that stuff down as good as possible because if you get in a wreck that heavy sink might beat the crop out of you. Tie a double knot in the wires where they go through a hole so they don't get yanked loose and install fuses for safety. A generic fuse panel is about 15 dollars at auto zone and has 6 circuits. If that hose is long enough you could pull it out and hook it on the door and you can use it as a shower. Rig a Zodi water heater up on a stove burner and you have a pretty simple hot water setup but if you drive a lot you might rob heat off of the engine coolant. Boats are set up this way. I have converted a bus and am now doing a van. I have lived off grid since 1997 as well. Have fun.

with the faucet by the door and a kettle of hot water poured into your 'water in' container...you've got your shower. The sprayer appeared to have a button control for on/off and should be able to let you stand outside the door... you do more with a circular saw, folding work bench, sander and a dozen really good clamps than I can do with a garage full of tools.......thanks for sharing....

I would LOVE to know more about how you set up the water pump to the switch, an explanation of the wiring (and where I can buy the switch, as well). I just bought a 85 Chevy G-20 a few days ago and have it stripped out. The next phase is to start building it out. I would love to have this setup in my van.

Nice work. What I like most about all of your work is the finishing and that you do not have to spend a lot of money to get a nice look. I think people forget about that especially in mini vans. I plan to showcase my build for little to no money in some cases. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. I like your work and your very well produced videos. This style of sink is called an farmhouse ‘apron sink’. (The simplest sink is gravity fed= no pump)

Looks awesome. Like how you've been able to use scrap. Great money saver. The only thing maybe Id add? Maybe save the counter top piece you cut out and make a cutting board that could fit on top of the sink for extra counter space. Wonder if that was an option. I love the make do and mend idea in building! Well done mate. It's not how expensive your materials are it's how well they are constructed and finished. I used OSB for my van walls and open cabinets but trimmed the edges with knock on T trim. Most of the boards I just rubbed down and waxed with a few panels painted in red for a warm accent. They look mint and I did it all with only 2 sheets!

I have noticed that you use a Ryobi nailer. Which one do you use? I think there is an 18 Gauge and a 16 gauge. I would like to know which one you use because I think it would be ideal for the project that I am working on.

Where is the water pump wired into? Solar equipment?
