i have this scooter. I bought it last year July. I recently upgraded my throttle/display from the old EY3 to the new EY4 display

Dualtron City is indeed compatible with the EY4 and I can only imagine how much more enjoyable has become . It's such a vehicle-grade looking scooter, almost as big as the Dualtron X in height, and robustness of components.

I have this scooter for one and a half year now. My first and also my last Dualtron. I've had 4-5 problems with it, none of them too serious, but I have to say, that carrying out even the most basic repairs is just plain and simple a pain in the ***. Literally. Changing the tyre took me six hours and plenty of new white hair.

We haven't sold many City in the UK, but it's does look different than the rest of the models. The maintenance always takes practice even with sellers support.

it's a good scooter, I've had it for over a year and I'm very happy with it, the most important thing about it is the big wheels

I almost bought this until I learned it has tubed tires & don't want to deal with that. Love the large wheels & lights though. Maybe if they make a few changes I might purchase in the future. cheers :)

How much distance does it take to reach top speed. I test rode this and could only get up to 28 mph in a 2 block stretch. But it handled great.

I don't think they've tested that, but it would be an interesting technical specification.

Hello there's no official rating but yes it handles moisture well. No warranty on water damage.

I really wanted this scooter but the tubbed tires are such a turn off, especially with Seattle's terrible road conditions.

I have a Dual-Tron City and with 1700 km I already have cracks next to the welds. I sent an email to the manufacturer and they did nothing. I just walk on the street. I'm not a practitioner of jumps and juggling. In less than 2 years it broke. I would not recommend to any friend to buy an expensive product that is not durable. And be careful, it is not waterproof, much less a small rain.

Yes, of course. I live in Portugal, Lisbon. I believe the climate here is temperate (city climate near the sea).

@@riquebrenner1 Coastal environments accelerate corrosion, even on anodized aluminum, due to the salty, humid air. Despite anodizing, which adds a protective layer, metal components still face wear in these conditions. Will wait for manufacturer's reply. You can pose the question on their main KZbin channel as well. What did your seller advise you when you bought the scooter and what was their experience selling scooters to Dualtron owners in that area ?

Yes, I agree that coastal environments accelerate corrosion even in anodized aluminum, however we are talking about a break next to the weld. I also know that the location where a weld is made is more prone to corrosion due to the heat subjected (but there are solutions such as inert gases used in MIG, MAG, TIG welding, etc.) The fact is that since this is a vehicle that easily reaches 60km/h, I thought the structure would be well built to avoid these problems. Since a good product would generally last more than 5 years. I'm glad you're interested in my complaint and are asking the factory about their position regarding this problem. As for the person who sold me the scooter, they simply recommended that I take the scooter to a metal worker and have the weld redone along with a reinforcement.

90 range not 80 ? I see on Dualtron website European with 60V 25 Ah | LG M50-LT 21700

I believe the range will be increased by the larger diameter wheels. On a regular 10-inch wheel, you can get around 75 km. Since these wheels are larger than 10 inches, each turn of the wheel will cover more distance compared to a smaller diameter wheel.
