Yes, he was in hospital for leukemia 2021. He’s said this song meant a lot to him during the treatments so that’s why he decided to include those clips. He is now cancer free due to a bone marrow transplant.

This is Erik’s own description to the video. I PUT A SPELL ON YOU - Erik Grönwall (CCR Cover) I brought my guitar to the hospital when I was undergoing chemotherapy and started playing this song. It was like my body was singing this to me "I put a spell on you, because you're mine"... It was showing me its power, that I'm nothing without my health. I knew I had to record an acoustic version of this song at some point and here it is, with footage from my time at the hospital.
