I fell in love with this cover by Erik and Jona the first time I heard it. Erik with his wonderfully soft and then so powerful voice, which just goes so well with this song and brings a lot of emotion, then the perfectly played piano by Jona, just beautiful !!!! Erik is a great singer with an extraordinary voice. He is Swedish and won Swedish Idol in 2009. Erik was a singer in H.E.A.T. for 10 years (with Dan Vasc he recorded “Breaking the Silence”, the original H.E.A.T. song sung by Erik). In 2021 Erik was diagnosed with leukemia and in 2022 he became the new lead singer of Skid Row, who saw his cover of “18 and Life” on his channel. 2024 Erik dropped out to make a full recovery and makes a lot of good music on his channel. Erik won Swedish Idol 2009, was leadsinger in Heat and also singer in Legendary Skid Row. Due to leukemia he had to quit to get better. He did a bonemarrow transplant. He promised him self if he won the battle he would sing whatever makes him happy. Check out his performances in Swedish idol. Then you realize what magic voice he has. He even get a congrats from Kiss when he sang one of theirs songs. Erik is one down to earth guys you ever and he loves to sing to make people happy. He is our Swedish gem… so enjoy all his songs. Check out his O holy night, his duet with Tara Simon ”mary did you know?” He is simply so talented and can sing så many different styles of music.😊

Erik is a swedish singer who won Swedish idol in like 2009 i think it was. Former member in the Swedish band(?) H.E.A.T and last he was lead singer in Skid row, which he sang in his audition för Swedish idol. After his cancer, he took a step back and start doing this

I fell in love with him immediately when I heard his rendition of "O Holy Night" this Christmas - - then I started searching for other songs - and now I have just bought a book he has written called "Power" The music/the Death/The life. I am danish - and bought it in Swedish - and haven't finished reading it - but I think You should know - his has suffered from leukemia - which has demanded a pause in his work. -

YES!!! Erik's entire channel is worth reacting too. Pick a song, any song and he kills it. He has the pipes to do just about anything. My current favorite is Take On Me (A-ha) cover... absolutely kills that and it's THE version for me now. The Final Countdown (Journey,) I Will Always Love You (Dolly Parton/Whitney Houston,) All By Myself (Celine Dion/Eric Carmen,) OH, and there's a collab covering a song from Erik's former band H.E.A.T with Dan Vasc that's amazing... if you're into Dan Vasc, you definitely need to hear Dan and Erik together... mind blowing. I never heard of Mamas Pride and I live in StL. Although, KSHE95 may play their music and I just didn’t realize who I was listening to. This has become my favorite version of this song. Erik has incredible pipes but the entire composition is fantastic!

Thank You. Erik is a swede like me. I suggest You pick one of Tommy Johanssons cover, I'm sure someone else has wrote about him as well. Why not Holy Night or some Queen cover. You'll be suprised. Tommy was the lead guitarist in Sabaton before start doing KZbin videos. He plays all the instruments but often he brings the drummer from Sabaton, Hannes Van Dahl (married to Flor Jansen in Nightwish). Tommys new band is Majestica/ Rolf from Stockholm 😊
