We stayed there 11 yesterday in October. It is a beautiful hotel. I loved the chihuly sculpture that they have there. He is such a wonderful artist. Anyway, you guys have a great time!

What was the cost of the hotel for your entire stay also can’t believe you ordered all that food so early in the morning and just before going to bed !? Can’t wait for the rest of the vlogs

It was around 5k as a package including flights and the hotel but that was for half board with entry to the water park too. Haha we didn't pay for it, the room service was included as we arrived after the evening restaurants had closed

You two have a really nice way of vlogging for KZbin. I just watched your vlog of Efteling too. I tought let you know there is a new dark ride in Efteling called Danse Macabre which recently opened on Halloween. It is the replacement of the haunted castle Spookslot. Danse Macabre is a completely new invented ride no other themepark in the world has. It has a dynamic motion system that was newly invented for Efteling. The dark ride Dance Macabre is a run down haunted monastery. Danse Macabre was also an already existing musical piece which is about a danse with the dead. That is also what the dark ride Danse Macabre is a danse with the dead, a symphonic musical piece and a spinning ride with some creepy elements. It doesnt spin too fast so most people wont get nauseated. Efteling really made dark ride Danse Macabre into an area with a shop, toilets, a cafe, food stand, cotton candy with a spider hidden inside and the waiting line is in a cemetery with music and moving parts. It was big news when Danse Macabre opened a couple of weeks ago. People from other countries came for the opening, a tv talkshow was held about dark ride Danse Macabre and the waiting line was 4 hours at opening. The famous symphonic metal band Epica was asked to do redo the already existing musical piece Danse Macabre for the opening of dark ride Danse Macabre. Symphonic metal is a sort of opera singing mixed with metal . The band Epica made a spooky videoclip in and outside dark ride Danse Macabre which is on KZbin. Back in the day in the 70's Kate Bush was asked by Efteling to sing at haunted castle Spookslot. There is a video of this too. Back in the day dark ride Symbolica was the most expensive attraction in the Benelux costing 35 million euros. Danse Macabre was estimated to cost 25 million but they went 10 million over budget so it also cost 35 million euros to build The reviews of people who went on Danse Mabacre were raving. Many said you have to be on this new dark ride at least 3 times to be able to see it all. There are videos of Danse Macabre on KZbin but you can't really see what the people on the ride see. You really have to experience it yourself. Some fun facts about about Efteling. Most people think it started as a fairytale forest but in reality it started as a main football field, with 2 practice football fields and a playground. They started to add more and more things to the playground and more and more people started coming with their children. It became so popular they decided to build the fairytale forest. Efteling is not owned by a big corporation like Disney. That is why price of entrance, food and hotel are cheaper than Disney. Efteling is owned by a foundation that focusses on theming and keeping the park authentic. You would say there is enough land to built bigger rollercoasters in Efteling but there are restrictions to do so. One of the pioneers of Efteling was against rollercoasters in Efteling. He was outvoted by the rest of the staff. If he had gotten his way there would be no rollercoasters at all in Efteling, he was more into storytelling. I know one Efteling imagineer / designer now works for Disneyworld and other Efteling designers are said to work for Europapark. Efteling opened in 1952, three years before Disney opened it's first park. Other themeparks which were built later took inspiration from Efteling. Example is the madhouse Villa Volta. That was the first ever madhouse to be built in the world. Other themeparks copied the idea of madhouses making them even better. Also the talking trashcan's have been copied by other themeparks. Now some people say it is a myth that Walt Disney took inspiration from Efteling. There is a black and white video on KZbin of Walt Disney visiting The Netherlands with his family. The video is called "Walt Disney in the Netherlands" Walt Disney visited The Netherlands in 1951. 1951 was the year they finsished building the fairytale forest. It was big news in The Netherlands so his business partners could have told him about Efteling since he also handled in fantasy characters. The town he did business in The Netherlands was a 30 minutes drive from Efteling. People say with certainty Walt Disney took inspiration from Efteling but no one knows for sure. Walt was there to have his cartoons narrated in Dutch. Efteling is the second most visited themepark in Europe and won an award for best theming. Disneyland Paris is the third most visited and Europapark the first most visited themepark in Europe. I tough I share these fun facts about Efteling and about the new dark ride Danse Macabre since you both were so enthuastic about Efteling. But remember when you watch the dark ride Danse Macabre on KZbin you really can't see what people on the ride see. You have to be on it at least 3 times yourself to see it all. It is a completely new invented ride with new motion system so Efteling still sees it as a prototype they can program with different settings. They said that the drop at the end will go down even deeper into the catacombs. Some have said this new dynamic motion system would also be an excellent ride for other themeparks and that it will be copied soon. A lot of hardcore Efteling fans have said this is now their favorite dark ride in Efteling choosing it over Symbolica and Dream Flight.
