Average 30 year loan the mortgage costs on 4.7 mil is 29.7K a month. Just to break even assuming 100% bookings and with expenses, cleaning, ect.. averaging $1.5K a month you need $1,040 per night just to break even. One thing no one ever talks about with Dubai is the water there is severely polluted. They blame the water stagnating from poor design for the smelly water but it’s actually sewage. My brother went swimming there, got really sick, & a doctor spilled the beans to him in the hospital. He had a skin infection that spread internally that was so bad they had to pump him full of heavy duty dangerous antibiotics (that damages your liver) for 2 weeks to save his life.

Wow! That’s crazy! We were just there in June in those islands and noticed that water was super salty. I know they use the water from the gulf and desalinate it and pour the salt right back in but it makes perfect sense about waste being dumped back in the water. Dubai’s air is also super smoky. I grew up in Seattle, WA and there was a wide variety of houseboats on Union Bay. Some were mobile, some not. Often those whose were not mobile, most were very happy with their neighborhood and didn’t feel the need to be mobile. They just really enjoyed living on the water. Others had full mobility, so they could travel to different parts of the bay and change their scenery. I recently learned from a Louisiana boat captain that you can tie a houseboat to a tree and live there. It does have to be mobile, in case the fisheries need it moved (he said that was uncommon) or for river traffic.

Redwood City, CA used to have a floating community. But something I see significantly missing here is the house appears to be in the middle of the bay, so how the heck do you get out to it? The Redwood City "Docktown" was against a series of piers, you could park on the land and walk out to the house. I don't even see cleats you could tie a small boat to on this house. @5:35 look at the back of the skinny porch and you can see what appears to be plumbing and/or power entry. It looks pretty sketchy given that it could get hit by another boat etc.

some remarks: guess he ment 20m AED. It is a floating house, not a house boat. Many of them also have been build in rivers in multiple cities and also in Dubai Creek. Floating around the world is not really something they want you to do as most islands are private and for sure the owners dont want a floating house in front of their island. but the concept is still kind of cool, have a view on the map and see how the world is connected to Downtown and the rest of Dubai via Dubai Creek. However you need a real boat for it, not a floating home :)

Arvin, i think this is your least researched video :( There is entire section of these type of houses that are being sold in the World Islands in Dubai and their location is actually going to be in a bit of a different spot. They will be awkwardly located super close to each other though. I was there just in June and the entire project is coming along very nicely if you look from afar. I don’t know if you’ve seen the Sweden island videos yet and want to review them - those mansions have a ballroom and ice rooms!!! However, just like everything in Dubai is - it probably will have half baked (using proper language here) because we’ve stayed just across from this model house in Monaco Voco hotel and they are already falling apart. Paint is chipping, bathrooms smell nasty from the sewer. It is fancy and expensive but these villas are being positioned as something you’d go to for a weekend to escape the city because Dubai is so polluted these days. $20,000,000 AED, not USD, Which is still way overpriced for what I'm seeing. I have trouble understanding how anybody, especially rich foreigners, would find anything about the UAE appealing, so I have to ask; who even buys these? Foreigners with hundreds of millions of dollars? To do what? To sit outside and stare at the distant sands on the horizon? I still can't decide if that sounds less depressing than forcing yourself to look at Dubai's skyline, which is mostly obscured by an ever-present smog of dust, sand and pollution. It's a modern hellscape built by slaves who are forced to live like livestock, trapped in a desert with no way to return home in sight. The entire culture revolves around religious fanaticism and the oppression of minorities and women, who are seen as more property than person, in order to maintain whatever semblance of law and order this atrocity of a city has to offer. It's seemingly designed as if the civil engineers who planned it totally forgot about the human ability to walk from point A to B, because typical streets and sidewalks that connect the entire city have been replaced by un-walkable highways that run through the entire city like blood vessels. So what is there to like? The corruption? The awful infrastructure? The design being based solely around the ability to consume and spend money? The total absence of morality and ethics? The poop trucks? The slaves? It's shit, all of it, somebody please tell me; who would want to live in a place like that other than people of the same pedigree?

My main concern would be safety. They don't explain how this deals with rough seas. How do you stop water coming into your ground floor/basement when a big wave hits assuming it doesnt break the house completely? If a big storm hits do you get stuck there for days at a time? What happens with the waste? You can't even really go swimming as you're in the middle of the ocean and don't want to get swept away by a current.

I prefer the floating houses in Amsterdam, where you have culture, world class museums, opera, classical music and nightlife!

Assuming a case that this house could move, do you think that the bridge would be convertible to bed as well?

3:52 those are holes for the guns to defend against pirates At least you are getting some solid Jordan Brown outdoor furniture for this price while the rest is falling apart... It's more like one of those homes in the Maldives rather than a real floating home

He said 20M Dirham (AED), approx 5.4M USD. Even though it's floating, it's anchored to a single location in an array. Primary access is via boat only It is primarily been sold as a party pad for the super rich who live on main land. That also explains why its bedroom everywhere. Small kitchen is because they are almost always catered.

Hi Arvin, I love the contern. Have you done one on "the one" house?. I found a tiktok, but not a full review. Thanks for the content once again.

Arvin, Arvin Arvin…….what have you given us? Omg this is an overpriced floating camper. For 20 million bucks, I could by a 5 bedroom waterfront home with a dock and access to the sea. Plus I could then purchase a Grand Banks 65 Europa motor yacht. Then on the way home to my new pad I would stop at the Mercedes dealership and buy a new 300/turbo SUV. FROM MY calculations there would still be@ 1.76 million left over. Yeah so the choice is pretty clear huh. That floating turd is a huge waste of time and money and anyone STUPID enough to spend real money on it DESERVES to lose on the deal. Nobody has ever proclaimed that Rich people have any common sense have they? And with good reason. Arvin this was one of your best videos. Let’s face it, either you have the talent and know how for this game or you don’t. Well this guy DOES NOT!! Keep em coming buddy this one just made my day. You know the old saying about a Sucker being born everyday ?????? Well? This builder is still pissing his diaper so DO NOT purchase this floating turd. Call Arvin for a genuine, trustworthy assessment of your future potential home. Peace brother✌️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
