I sat through this whole video to try and remember a specific game my brother and I had played as kids on MAME. It's been almost twenty years now. I was always certain that it was some version of Golden Axe. The game ran poorly at the time. Not sure if MAME couldn't run the game or if my dad's old pc couldn't run a lot of side scroller beat em ups in MAME. It was a fantasy game very similar to Golden Axe. The one thing I remember the most is when you respawn with your chosen character they said their name/class. Hopefully someone here can help me remember haha

Arcade version of Sunset Raiders is missing ,it's one of my favorite game! :D
@Dubbloseven6 жыл бұрын
Hey Rayden, Sunset Riders falls under another Genre Wheel for Arcade MAME. Some games fall under multiple categories. Nor would it be correct or incorrect to have it on this wheel as well. (for personal preference in Hyperspin games can easily be added or subtracted from genre wheel's :D ) Thx for the feedback. Have Fun Gaming !!!

@Dubbloseven6 жыл бұрын
Hey Delmorris. Just having fun gaming :) the old Arcade games can be run with MAME or multiple arcade machine emulator. A ton of the older console games I owned growing up or collecting. Many of them can also be run via Emulators on your PC or DL content on newer consoles. You can eventually get them setup and running thru another program called Hyperspin & RocketLauncher. There is a few tutorials on my channel and a wealth of information on the internet. Stop by and give a shout anytime. Have fun gaming man !!!!

@Dubbloseven7 жыл бұрын
You can play these games thru MAME emulator. some info about MAME can be found in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXWZm4qmmdN6iLc you can also check in with some of my other video's and welcome to hop back in for any questions. I don't post links or packs, im sorry. There's also lots of info on the official MAME forums as well. You will also find lots of helpful info about MAME at hyperspin and launchbox forums. Im glad to help or answer any questions if i can. Happy New Year. have fun gaming !!!

Nice vid but is it really necessary to show every game including Japanese versions, bootlegs and prototypes? Video could've been much shorter.
@Dubbloseven6 жыл бұрын
This is from my personal setup or arcade. Clone roms can be edited out of the database or filtered with Hyperspin or Launchbox settings. I prefer having parent roms and clones on my setup for various reasons. Also back in the arcade days I remember and played various clones and versions of many games such as Mortal Kombat 1 and 2 and many others. But yes to make it a bit shorter, I could have filtered those out. Then ppl would have asked why are all the clone roms missing :D thx for the feedback Ryan. Have fun gaming !!!

They are using MAME to play the games. The front end that we see here in this video is Hyperspin. You would need both for this setup

Could have been cut WAY down and not set to repeat 4-5 times per with minimal game footage. Also a lot of these are repeats... way to milk the duration..
@Dubbloseven6 жыл бұрын
oh hey Ryan, thx for the feedback. "to milk the duration" is not the reason at all. For many reasons i have and displayed the clone roms as well. With Hyperspin/RocketLauncher they can be filtered out to parent roms only. I do have a video up for MAME with parent only but its all together 11 hours or so there's so many games. I grew up in the arcade days so for various reasons and a full set, I prefer to have the clones. Give a shout anytime. Have fun Gaming !!! :D
@almightycinder6 жыл бұрын
The clone roms aren't even what's being displayed. It's very noticeable in Undercover Cops (his name isn't Claude in the Japanese version), Night Slashers (Japan has red blood), and the various ones that have two and four player versions (such as Simpsons and Vigilante) are clearly all the same on the "insert coin" graphics when they should differ. If you feel the need to include the other versions, actually include the other versions.

Dubbloseven he says that "some titles are repeated way too many times." I am looking for a particular game and it's a chore waiting. Great video anyway. A list would help, but the effort is appreciated.
@Dubbloseven7 жыл бұрын
oh kewl, ty Ricardo for letting me know :D !! In this video it has all the Parent roms and clones included; though you can filter them out as well. I do that for some video's. You can find lists or databases at HyperSpin, or create them yourself using various tools. The Emulators have full lists included too but can be a chore searching thru them, yeah. Glad he enjoyed it. thanks for watching :D

Dubbloseven actually I am looking for a brawler and I can't recall the name (played it in the arcades during 1994 I think). There were two dudes, a blonde and a black guy. The blonde guy's special was an inversed spin attack like Terry's rising tackle. The settings were the streets (not very original); And the overall thing feel was slow (no running), two buttons (jump, attack, plus life draining special), graphics like final fight (based on sprites I'll say it probably came around '89 to 1992). I remember it hard cuz couldn't finish it with one credit (at the time I finished Cadillacs and dinosaurs with 1 coin). I have been playing and looking through lists and all but I just can't find it. I have an arcade machine at home with hyperlist but the game is not there. I'll keep looking, thanks.

I'm not sure off hand for that one either :/ If something dawns on me or think I scroll past it I'll re-post and let you know. I've had that before too and within some time, rediscover the game or gem I was looking for. I also remember playing hundreds to thousands of these games in the Arcade's back in the day !!! Great games & good times :D
