This is so great! We were lucky enough to catch Blackie and Cyril last June and it was the highlight of a wonderful, wonderful 3 weeks in Ireland. Watch Cyril change the capo position at about 3:42 and then back to original position around 4:44. I had never seen a player do that mid-song in my life. RIP Cyril. Thanks for helping make so many people happy in your life.

Me to, some of the best nights of my life spent at McGann's and McDermotts over the years listening to Blackie, Cyril, Eoghan and Geraldine. I was absolutely devastated to hear the news about Cyril earlier this month who has left us far too soon. A true legend I Irish music, sessions will never to the same without him. RIP Cyril, I love you man. 🙏 💔

Thanks for uploading this! Brings back some happy memories from McDermott’s. Have seen Dubhlinn twice there and Blackie (pipes) and Cyril (bouzouki) once in McGann’s just across the bridge from McDermott’s. The set they’re playing here is The Happy Aunt / The Road to Errogie / Shifing Gravel (perhaps more commonly known as Good Morning to Your Nightcap). It’s included in the album Live in McDermott’s by Foolin’ in Doolin, feat. Blackie, Cyril and a banjo player whose name eludes me. Grand stuff indeed!

Happy memories indeed! I saw them there in early March, 2020, just before the you-know-what. Glad they survived to make more lovely music!

And we were there too, sitting just to your left with a couple of musicians from Toronto. What a brilliant night it was! Did you stay for the singsong after? (BTW it was me that sang Leave Her Johnny).

It was a great night! Ahh, I don't think I stayed after this song! I thought they said they were done and I had to get up early the next day. I wish I stayed though!
