Brilliant stuff! I remember watching it as a young lad many years ago on sundays on RTÉ. I always found it very enlighting, and relaxing at the same time. Mac Thomáis went to prison for writing nationalist articles for the magazine "An Phoblacht", and did 15 months for it. For me, this is the best programme for anyone that wants to learn about Dublin, period.

I remember buying books in webbs, sadly long gone like most of the secondhand bookshops in Dublin city and surrounds.

And this why i moved out of Dublin. Sadly this city is long gone and replaced with planters. I remember it being the kind of place to ramble around of an afternoon. Soaking up the atmosphere. People had far more dignity and respect and were happier.

@ 9:01..................it looks like Eamonn is about to plant a kiss on that fella, and it looks like that fella is expecting it.!! Personal space issues didn't exist back then. In saying that I love Eamonn, and all his work.

No multicultural to be seen in Dublin back then . l remember going to London back in the 80s for the first time and been shocked by the amount different races and cultures living there . But today every where urban is like London, thanks to the EU free movement policy and duty to take as many non EU immigrants and refugees as possible .
