They will endure the wet and cold here for the number of years it takes to have their asylum applications accepted. And be made permanent citizens of Ireland. Next order of business is to apply for Family Reunification Visas, and get the wife, kids, parents and grandparents in on the same ticket. ONLY THEN, when everyone has their ID cards, free house and benefits payments - ONLY THEN - will they have to return home for 'desperate personal reasons'. Always at the height of the Northern winter. So, back home for 3-6 months, Nov-May. Aahhh let the good times roll aye man!!!
