Next time you put yourself at the gate and ask someone to film you to see if you like it, you may feel a little what the animals feel like. Animals are wildlife, not people's attractions.
@tdog3742 Жыл бұрын
if it were not for zoos... a lot of these animals would be extinct. Not to mention most zoos have a breed and release program and the animals at the zoos are considered species ambassadors. The more pressing animal rights issue would be breeding dogs such as french bulldogs and pugs because they are bred for people and they cannot breathe well due to their nostrills and unaturally small stature for their species.
@tdog3742 Жыл бұрын
not to mention they get free food and don't have to worry about being predated on.. all things considered, not a bad trade off.. better than having to worry about habitat loss, starvation, predators, and poaching

@@tdog3742 first the animals that are almost extinct is because of human, now they put them in gate so people can admire, come on, there are national park to protect the animals, not small space, maybe go there and see if they look really happy in zoo, I was used to love zoo when I was a child, not I can't, is so sad to see them there, if I was an animal I wouldn't be happy there. Anyway this is my belief and have Empathy for others.

@@tdog3742yes i agree with you , and as zoos have come a long way to how animals were once housed, poor diets and totally unsuitable enclosures. Now much more thought and planning is placed in there design. The animals needs are first and foremost, with play and food enrichments included daily/weekly provided by their keepers. Often known to each other for decades. Humans have a lot to answer for when it come to environmental destruction and animal loss, while on the other hand there are zoos and empathic hearts and minds trying to make amends by saving them through breeding programmes… and why oh why do people think the ‘wild ‘ is such a great place? It’s ‘ki.ll or be ki.lled ’ out there, ruthless. No medical attention, vaccinations, worm / flea treatments, they myst travel for miles to find food and drink. No cosy reliable bed, predators after you day or night, great risk of a family member being eaten. I wonder what would they choose if they were asked, “the zoo ? or the great lethal unknown? 😅 . Incidentally , during the pandemic , all over the world when people weren’t visiting zoos, animals became depressed without visitors! They missed the filming! the cameras! … the laughter, the general noise of crowds. I agree with you too about any dog which cant breath or even give birth because of the genetic modifications done by breeders. Its not like we need more dogs when there are so many needing adopting. Millions of excellent characters and healthy dogs and cats are euthanised in ‘ki.ll shelters’ for convenience. Ive heard of numbers of 25/ 30 healthy dogs being euthanised at one time and there is even a designated ‘ki.ll ‘ day. The staff that have to do that are traumatised for life. Its a disaster. No one wins and the cats and dogs pay the ultimate price for our fashion whims and indifference for animals lives. Please everyone … “adopt don’t shop”

I totally agree with you. There isn't enough space for the animals to roam around. Like you I do not support this but, each to their own. @@karinarodriguesdasilva4601
