You can get a midi controller with faders to give you that authentic mixing feel. I use the behringer bcf 2000.

Thanks for these vids. When I export the stems from Audacity, the blank space at the beginning of the instrumental is removed. The songs don't sync up anymore, once I get them in Live. Any tips?

It may be an import setting. Instead of reading the stem as it should be, it could be deleting the dead air and staring from the first hit. Check your settings. I'll also look into it and post something if I find out.
