absolutely! works the exact same way for your plugins. Load up Massive and you will see the controls on the Maschine knobs. Switch to step and hold a pad for a moment - you will see those Massive parameters show up again

Whats going on Matt.. Happy New Year i have a question: i’m using the plugin “Dblue Tapestop” in Maschine 2.0/& i have Maschine Mikro. i want to create a simple automation in the software, that will “remember” how i trigger the STOP (& the slowdown).. how would i go about doing that.? Below you mentioned "Recording the Automation" i'm new with Maschine how is that accomplished.? Thanks for any info you can offer.. take care

I bought your mpv tutorials, it really helped. I wish maschine had time stretching, an arpeggio, and the ability to record guitar on the fly without sampling. Please put in a word. Thank you.

Hey this is great! I was wondering though, would the step automation work the same for say the LFO Rate in Massive for example or is there another process to do that?

Thank you,Matt! Very informative video. Very useful information!

Very cool tutorial :) one question though.. Is it possible to record or set automation in complete song structures, using the functions such as mute or solo? like mixing the song with the ability to edit so to speak.. Hope my question makes sense :)

Hey Matt, I'm getting stuck on the step automation. Can you do this in Maschine 2?
@MattCellittiMusicTutorials12 жыл бұрын
yes you can. Set up an effect on a sound and use the routing inside of Maschine to send one sounds output to another, just like a return channel for effects
@Versus6110 жыл бұрын
How about recording automation across multiple scenes/patterns? So far I failed to do it bcause when going into a new pattern machine always snaps all values back to its original setting instead of keeping the level from the end of the last pattern..
@GSA_Drums13 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply! I'll try that but i play drums and teach. I wanted to use it live as a sequence in the backround.. but i would get to trigger scenes on the fly and change stuff live. Back to the drawing board. Thanks though :)

This is great!!! But I'd like to know how to add those effects under TEK. It looks to me those delay and res are linked to pad 1. Please explain...!!! Thanks

You have to start with the filter effect essentially "off". For a lp filter, set the cutoff all the way up first. Then record your automation into the pattern. Switch to the next pattern/scene and the filter will go back all the way up.

I suggest resampling it in the DAW. That way you are basically playing back the performance with mutes, solos, pattern changes etc.

nice thanks man, that was really quite simple!

How did you make the multi-effect channel (5:50) that was showing up as "H: TEK" that you put the master output through? Was that is a DAW that you were running Maschine through, or was that done entirely in the Maschine software?
@odoper12 жыл бұрын
is there a way to link more than one sound to a single fx without having to put the fx on the group? say you have a bass n a lead going in to different pads, n a padsweep going in another can you link the bass n lead to a single filter for example and the padsweep to anotherr. this probably sounds strange, but my thinking is for live performances not having to switch ads all the time to access the effects.......i have a feeking the answer to this query is a flat "no" haha. awesome tutorial too!

@RunRunRuii native instruments and ableton are really in my opinion some of the most foward thinking pioneers in this industry, i can understand if youre frustrated by seeing all this NI stuff on this channel. but im going to ask you a question and please be completely honest, have you used any of NI's products? and more importantly, have you used the Maschine? it is a great piece of equipment and suggest you try at your nearest sam ash or guitar center, it changed my creative flow, i love it...

Is there a way to pitch bend in Maschine 2.0? I'd love to be able to automate the pitch to sounds and groups
@MattCellittiMusicTutorials11 жыл бұрын
yes, you can modulate the MIDI parameters for pitchbend by drawing it in or record the automation of your pitch bend wheel

@Officersimpson It's in maschine without any DAW. Find on YT video called 'Maschine Tutorial - Understanding Multi FX Routing, Automation, Patterns' by DubSpot too.

Can you auto-write with the Maschine MIkro MK2?? I have one but cant quite find the function
@mutantvisions13 жыл бұрын
@Recipricateable There's a workaround that makes it possible to sequence scene changes, record automation across scenes, record track mutes and record arrangements on the fly all from within Maschine standalone. Search for 'DIY Song Mode' in the NI forum.

how can i automate in sync with the grid. i've only ever seen one video from years ago - on how to do it in maschine. Driving me mad. I want to automate with precision in maschine
@JoeyRec13 жыл бұрын
@thefishdog I dunno I ripp it up with maschine I think its great, and there are a lot of people really liking it. Sounds like your just talking smack, its a sampler and its a damn good one. I find a big trick is recording the audio as its playing live gives it a much punchier better sound than rendering it by bouncing or dragging audio from machine also.

Can you automate volume on the Master on 1.8?
@Afigs131311 жыл бұрын
this video was definitely informative but here's where i'm a bit stuck; what I'm trying to do is be able to draw a perfectly diagonal pitch automation to make for a very smooth glide transition in my 808. it seems the only way that's possible is to set the grid on 1/128 , put it paint mode and try as hard as i can to meticulously draw a perfect diagonal line with my mouse.... no bueno. any ideas to make this process easier? c'mon there must be a way
