I actually cant believe this is the first thing to pop up in search results. Making audio visualizers for KZbin and listing to Edm/dubstep/metal all the time everyday to find those gems to post. More than that remembering the days of flip phones and seeing the unlimited potential of smartphones. There was hope then, more than hope the abillity anyone and everyone had to create something new and better than before. Feels as if it has been stripped away since then. This very video started it all for me. i’ve been making music for 5 years now. once, i was 10 years old. I was very new to dubstep when i first heard this, but this is what helped me learn the general idea of dubstep. eventually, every single song in the compilation started to grow on me. in fact, it started to become a daily routine to listen to this compilation. one thing that stood out, however, was “guardian” by tristam. i loved the “sad” feeling to it. the singing over it was awesome to me too. i decided to look in the description and find out who it was by, and the name of the song. i looked through all of tristam’s music and fell in love. it was music i was in to, mixed with dubstep. it was beautiful to me. i found out about monstercat and instantly fell in love with that as well. i then got the inspiration to make my own music. i thought the idea of making music was amazing. this was the start of my music life. i got ableton, and started from the very basics. i started playing piano and drums. i joined band a few years later, and that helped me become stronger in music theory. it’s been an crazy journey, but i’ve excelled beyond everyone in my class in music. music is my life. music is my future. i can picture a future with music, all because of this very video. this video is literally the reason i am where i am. it’s the reason i have hope in life. it’s where i found my talent. i thank you so much, Dubstep Nation, for making this compilation, for i would be lost without it.
