My memory of this song: Ministry of Sound, London, March 2004, 7am. "Saturday Sessions" was the event. I'm pretty sure Mark Knight was the DJ that night. This song came on at the very end of the night. The disco lights were turned off, the bright flood lights came on, but the DJ played this for everyone still in attendance. I knew already this song from EBTG Back to Mine but this was the event I will never forget because of this choon! Perfect for ending a night!

I am transported back to a misty field in the early morning, summer 1996. There is a big stack of purple-blue Turbosound speakers here and a thousand dirty kids. There is no record, there is no DJ, just 2 beautiful people seated on a small stage surrounded by drum machines, sequencers, synthesizers, pushing pure analog voltage into that big sound system and then into my auditory nervous system. It's this. It's all of this. It's all of us. We are fully present and fully aware in this moment together. This song takes me back there every time I hear it even though Sunshine and Moonbeam wouldn't create it for another few years. They captured that same lightning in a bottle and they pressed it into vinyl and lovingly scribed it into bits and bytes. This is not nostalgia. This is not a wistful reminisce. This is as relevant and present and immediate today as it was in that moment we shared 25 years ago. This is a call to action. I love you. Do it now.

the year was 2000 & I was in Playa Del Carmen with DSS on the beach at a private resort with just DJ's and house heads and it was love, beauty, peace, music, discovery, craziness, dancing, laughing, crying and togetherness. I used to play this out in Spain, Cadiz, around 2004 I think! A small club, hot, happy crazy people and everyone was out of it. Me included! 😎 I’d drop this track 4am and everyone was singing and grooving. It was when tribal house was big. When I played I’d keep it vocal and groovy, they loved it! Such great memories. Dubttribe has a big influence from Chaka Kahn , and this track specially that has the structure taken from “I’m Every Woman” only without the vocals, chorus and rich violin string sections. Instead Dubtribe adds a conga sequence, more effects on the original rhythmic guitar, and more punch on the beat to make it more housy sound like. One of my favourites playing as a DJ back in Mexico early2000’s
