ive got a 1199 with full term system and switched it race mode and it wheelies in 4th thru acceleration at 140mph, unbelievable bit of kit

That windscreen looks like it's from a 1986 GSXR.

Nothing major, the Panigale had been around for years now and I haven't heard of anything worth worrying about. I'm hoping to arrange a test ride on the V4 version soon for comparison.

I've heard that engine heat as felt in the seat is crazy on those bikes, to the point where they are not comfortable to ride for more than a few miles. What say you, sir?

I noticed the heat in traffic, but I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable. Perhaps on a hot day it would be less than diserable!

Ive got my eye on a 1199 track bike that's done 2500 ks on track and first 7000 ks on road , it also has a after market down shift . Im wondering is at risk of mechanical problems given its history ? All seems fine at moment tho

I personslly wouldn't worry too much, after all the bike was built and deigned to spend it's time on the track. As long as service history is all good I would say go for it. If you are still unsure, the best place to ask for advice would be the Ducati owners forum or find a dedicated 1199 owners group on Facebook. 👍 Enjoy it if you go for it, it'll make an epic track bike 👌

I’ve literally just viewed this bike today with the intention of buying for £9k. Do you think it’s a good buy for the money ? Just thought I would look at some vids on these bikes and recognised the reg plate 😂

What are the chances! It's a really awesome bike, the dealership I borrowed it from sold it to another dealership so I bet its probably done next to nothing since I reviewed it. If I remember correctly the previous owner did a big road trip in France but other than that I think its had a fairly easy life. It was pretty immaculate when I reviewed it other than a few blemishes in some of the carbon pieces. I did consider buying it myself after the review...so hopefully that answers your question! 😂 Go for it, its an incredible bike. 👍

@@FrontWheelUp it’s in pretty good shape other than the clutch cover and the fuel cap both having some bubbling. And one of the levers is a standard part now Instead of the red anodised lever like in the vid 👍🏻

The Panigale has "Distributed Braking ABS", the system is linked and will automatically apply rear brake pressure in the event of the front wheel locking up. Happy to stand corrected if this isn't the case. 👍

Will do that, thanks. I dont recall where I got the info but the Ducati owners forums speak about this feature: ducatiforum.com/threads/when-abs-is-in-sport-does-abs-auto-give-rear-brake-when-front-lever-is-pulled.19331/ I dont own the bike so can't confirm, it's an incredible bike either way!
