That exhaust really makes the bike look like it's jet powered. Also an incredible selection of bikes, cars and views. I wouldn't hold it against anyone for forgetting to look at the road and going for a surprise swim.

I have the big brother to that bike and enjoy riding it, but having ~120 hp like the 848 is the ideal amount of power for a road bike IMO.

I agree with you that it's the perfect amount of power for the road... Although I wouldn't say no to the big brother 😊

Nice review! You mention about the roads, I’m guessing the warmer weather is nicer on roads. Here in the US snow and cooler climates destroy roads because water will get inside the asphalt and expand when it cool down and put pressure on different parts of the road from underneath.

@@pw5668thanks of the kind comment. I know that when you get big thermic changes from hot, to cold, to wet , to cold etc etc it caused the roads to deteriorate quickly. My observation was how the roads in Britain seems to have got far worse than Italy post Covid!! Before Covid British roads were better…

Beautiful bike bro 😎 how much these go for? And is it a reliable bike? I’m saving to get my first motorcycle
@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm

Depends I suppose on the country… UK prices for a good one tend to go for about £6k. Italy, where I got mine, for about €7k. As for reliability.. I only just got mine so fingers crossed. I know there were some issues with rectifiers due to heat, and battery cables in the early days, but I believe most of these issues were fixed. Just don’t get one for city riding as they get too hot…

You rode it like it's a Goldwing or a torque cruiser, that thing comes alive past 5500 rpm, and vibrations get away also.... the throttle is smooth so you can actually keep it steady in high rpm... quick tip to enjoy it, so this are MINIMUM values: 1st change to 2nd at 50km/h, 2nd to 3rd at 90km/h , 3rd to 4th at 120km/h, and cruising at legal speeds in 4th for better response and engine breaking, anything below this makes it miserable or, too conservative and its a waste of potential in my mind, its vibrating and its not very agile and responsive, it even flicks slower etc... I give it to guys to test it, they ride it like that and say, "oh man its not ok for road this is not ok vibrates, its stiff " etc , then I tell them how it works and say : "OHHHH man, its amazing !, I want one now "......... that big is the difference.

great reply mate... It was a learning curve as it was my first time riding it. I did tend to compare it my other bikes which are a V4 and a Triple that have different power deliveries. You are totally correct regarding the bike being alive after 5500.. The only downside is that when riding in a group that's not always possible.

@@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm I was in shock when I saw you in 6th gear on highway, wasn't it vibrating to bits when you gave it little gas? 5th and 6th are only for circuits, you can reach 200km/h in 4th before red line , I think it goes 220 at 9500rpm in 4th...

Also that torque cruiser style riding is what breaks the transmission with these big bore engines. They want to run; let them run! Use those revs, it is good for them.

@@Kaarlo getting there… Last run didn’t really get out of 1st or 2nd. Kept the Reva up and it ran so much more smoothly. So different than my V4 and Triple where you can ride along in 6th gear at 30mph 😊
