We don’t have this requirement in the US to my knowledge to maintain the warranty but we also only have a 2 year factory warranty. But 9k miles in a year shouldn’t be an issue for me either.

That’s interesting Paul, I thought the 4 year warranty would of be world wide, but I guess you Guys do a lot more mile than us depending where your based.

@@thatbikersimon I have a 2022 V4S picked up in August. US we get a 2 year warranty, anything outside of that is extra cost.
@Dr_Skot2 жыл бұрын
Confirm US is a 2 year warranty, but there is an annual service regardless of mileage. Won't void warranty techinically but I've already had to fight Ducati once over a stalling issue to cover the repair. Sometimes the extra hassle isn't worth a couple hundred bucks saved.

Lets hope the software update makes the Bluetooth compatible with Android 13 and the Pixel 7 phones. My bike July 2022 model just doesn't see the Bluetooth of the Pixel 7 at all.

I wouldn’t hold your breath Steve, this is the only downside to the multistrada.

The software update done a couple months ago to the multistrada line. Worked out all the kinks with my pixel 6 in Android 13. Much better connection than it had before, still not perfect as they screen mirroring proprietary nonsense is ridiculous

That’s true, but they were saying these bike get tested all the time so software updates can improve your bike, or tho nobody knows what it improved 😂👍

Then you're missing out on new features like heated grips working off just the heated grip switch, skyhook suspension updates, mapping improvements etc.
@dazzx10r2 жыл бұрын
well that's a stupid thing to do, Ducati are constantly making updates to software for everything on the bike from the quickshifter operation time, electronic fuel cap operation time, skyhook suspension updates, abs updates, dash updates. All of the updates are free and are designed to make the product perform at it's best.

@@dazzx10r I race and track my Hyper so don’t want Ducati spoiling my custom bespoke setup with what they think they know best. i.e generic updates for the standard rider

@@dazzx10r here's a thought, let me set the fuel cap opening time myself with a settings button, the f'ing fuel cap opening time you say, how about if i want to raise the idle slightly, another f'ing trip to dealer just for that, how about strapping that stupid tex unit to the bike and i'll play with f'ing thing myself and if i don'y like the settings i'll press the default settings button or take it to the nearest f'ing internet connection instead of having to lick the sphincter ring of some dealership 1000 miles away and closed atm, f off!!

I dont believe Ducati can legally REQUIRE maintence be done BY Ducati in the US anyway. They can require maintence they just can not hold a monopoly on doing all the service themselves ....of course the software part can be the glitch if the Ducati dealers alone have the means and I seem to recall lawsuits to address that issue? Anyone here know? But hey if its only $100ish for the service? Done in an hour? Any Duc owner can live with that given how much they already gave for the machine to begin with!

9k miles is not reasonable for a well (hard) ridden high performance motorcycle! I mean COME ON! Oil gets trashed! I would change it twice that often AT LEAST! Even on my indestructable Japanese bikes I change oil ever 2k miles I mean it is high rpm and the same oil is in the gearbox the crank the clutch everything! I might let the filter go 4 or 5k miles meaning only changing it ever two changes
@thatbikersimon4 ай бұрын
All I can do is follow there guidelines, if I was using it on the track then I would change the oil every couple of track days but even though this is a performance bike it don’t get riden that hard. Also oil has massively improved over the years. I’m no expert but I speak to these guys at the dealership and they don’t have any issues with theses bikes

£85 for service with Oil and Filter ?
@thatbikersimon2 жыл бұрын
No not with oil and filter it’s ever 2 years unless you’ve done over 9,000 miles. I’ve only done 4,500 miles so the oil and filter will be done the following year for me.
