I’m impressed with the ease of use for the new windscreen mechanism, but this video really highlights how bulky the mounting for the windscreen is. I found myself moving my head trying to see around them. Beautiful road, looks like a fun ride to be out on.

Stupid question; hows the Low down torque? I.e. the pulling put of corners. The Streetfighter v4s with DQS had like a 0.5 second lag for power to come in after the quick shifter upshift. I guess its the nature of the engine, I’m too used to big V2’s.
@steve_kamrad52163 жыл бұрын
The street never exhibited that for me. I did have some missed quick shifts on the street fighter but never ever had an issue with the multi. Down low torque? Man I only rode this thing in the mid rpm range. No need or want to lug it at all

I ve bought the new V4S but i was truly divided between the V4S and the 1260S, mainly because the V4S has a 19” front wheel instead of a 17” fronteira wheel. I was also considering the S1000XR but in the end it had To be a ducati

@jalex191003 жыл бұрын
Even slight geometry and body position changes affect the handling and response of the bike - ADV bikes probably stand out by seating position more than anything. And don’t get me wrong...I ride a big ADV bike (almost exactly the same weight as this v4) and it’s (no mountain goat) a handful to take off anything too different than pavement. A typical ADV bike is still very much a road bike at the gooey center. But you “could” make it through a rocky, sand-lined, mud-filled ravine of snakes with a little bit of poise (think 8 seat SUV and not a Rubicon Jeep). It will still be more tiring than a KTM enduro. People like Steve_Kamrad just make it look easy-ish to take 600lb bikes into the desert. I think Steve actually likes to be half-terrified to relax.
