Have the same exact bike, I took mine for the first service to my dealership in Houston and I'm really glad I did because that looked like an absolute pain in the ass. I might end up changing it myself next time to save some money 300 plus dollars is kind of ridiculous. I'm about to uncork mine and get a decent exhaust having it flashed as well super excited. Enjoy your content man keep it up 👍
@BrunerTuner3 жыл бұрын
Nice man, I'm sure you're as in love with it as I am. Honestly, if you can spare the time, I'd highly recommend it. Or, at least every other oil change do it yourself, since all you'd need to do is just take off the skid plate, oil filter, and oil drain bolt. That'll save you some good money even just every other time. Nice man, what exhaust you thinking of? Appreciate it man, be sure to stick around for more;

Just a note and correction for the mesh filter. The proper part # for that aluminum gasket on the mesh filter cover bolt is #85250051A. The one you listed is the for the bolt on the bottom of the case directly below that mesh filter. Also, per the dealer service manual, the mesh filter only needs cleaned every other oil change.

Thanks for the note! Yes that is correct, only every other time. I figured I'd knock it out on the first one to be thorough after a motor is broken in.

When draining the oil unscrew the oil filler cap. It helps with draining the oil. Otherwise there is always old oil left in there. It want hurt even if you crank up the bike for literally 1.5 sec. which help with complete oil draining. Other then that you did good. Thanks

Some people even quoted $400 from their dealership..can you imagine?! I don't believe it will (but absolutely don't quote me on that). I talked to my rep at Ducati and he suggested doing it myself due to the large delay they have, then sold me the kit. Didn't make mention of it, but it does make me wonder, because they do have to reset the oil light themselves. I probably should know a definite answer, but I don't!
