Jeez, this thing's gonna be off the hook when you get the exhaust installed. I really like these videos, keep them coming. It's really hard to find any close-up video of a lot of these parts on the bike alone let alone the install process, so yours have really helped me decide on a few of these for my bike. I've got the "measly" V4 base but even at that reduced price, I'm surprised some of these didn't come stock with the bike. Most notably better rear-sets / pegs and some kind of cosmetic treatment to that fugly cast front frame. Anyways, I look forward to seeing the final product!

I do like the look of the Rizoma cap for the V4. But it bothers me that from a functional perspective it is inferior to the bog stock original! Wish somebody would make a hinged version. The beautiful and v-e-r-y expensive little Rizoma cap is simply odds-on to be dropped, scratched and dented. Thanks for the vid btw. Very helpful and your bike looks great.

Yep. Agreed. I was getting these aftermarket caps for looks as well as functionality. I want a push button pull right off gas cap not another gas cap that I have to use another key for...

Cheers for the video! Helped heaps with my install. Though I am noticing a lot of fuel vapor and slushing around after a hot ride. Have you experienced this by any chance?

After over one year more or less , this Rizoma gasket starting leaking gasoline out of it. I will have to replace the old one back. Only happens when I have a full tank and once I go over 120mph's. It is not a lot, it is a little, but I noticed because I could smell it. This is extremely dangerous. If I fall and motorcycle falls and slides sideways, it could caught on fire! 😮

Considering that the speciale goes for 40k, how much $ do you think you'll have saved by doing all the upgrades yourself? (btw, is this a V4 or V4s)

Shaun Baker it’s a V4S. I’m probably saving about 5k or so doing it this way. I also love doing the upgrades myself. When it’s all done, it’s all my own work

Yea this was kind of what I was tossing up .. whether to get an S and mod it with the accessories myself, or just by the speciale.. I like doing things myself .. it's more rewarding and fun to tinker around

Hi Troy, I installed the cap today on my V4s. Could it be that the cap doesn't align a 100% perfect with the tank vertically? I'm feeling a little "step" between the cap and the tank. The cap is a bit higher than the tank. It stands up. Is that correct? I'm feeling like I've tightened the bolts to the maximum already.
