Been hunting with a claimer for close to 25 years. Best thing is it ain't worth a fight or a friendship. Now it a funny that my son and I can laugh about.

Best way to handle it, once they hit a limit, they don't get to hunt anymore. If they do, you call the game warden and let them handle it. People tend to be a little more honest about the birds they shoot. Plus, if he claims all the birds, he gets to clean all of them too. It's that easy. LOL

I’m normally a solo hunter or just me and one or both of my sons. I was invited on this hunt and had never had the opportunity to hunt honkers before so I accepted, but generally speaking I don’t like to hunt with a group, the max number of people I will typically go with is 4 and I don’t like that 🤣

It would be better if at most 2 people are hunted in duck hunting. crowded prey is thrown either in turn. For example, duck or goose. If it comes from the right, the hunters on the right must shoot, and if it comes from the left, the hunter on the left must shoot. If not hit, other hunters can shoot. this is how we do it. Otherwise, it is not clear who shot what.

There is always one in ever crowd😂. The guys I used to hunt with there was this one guy that I was always thankful he was with us because he killed all the ducks😂😂. I mostly hunt by myself now so I know who kills the birds or not😂😂

I let my partner claim the last mallard drake last season , knowing I killed it,, come find out it was banded from up state !!! Sounds like ya'll shootin' the same bird !!!

It’s a spinning wing decoy attachment called the animator that splashes and makes motion on the water.. it’s a little noisy, but it does work, I use it early in the mornings but when the sun gets up I turn it off, you can see the video on it here.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qX27eZyhr7amgc0

only commenting since the context of the video, if you were shooting the birds in your lane (left end) you wouldnt of been shooting the same birds in that situation.

Exactly right.. you know as well as I do that everyone especially guys in the middle don’t always shoot in their lanes, we were also in a tight quarters blind “2 panel blinds” so guys in the middle are most likely shooting at the same birds. As a guide I get this all the time. I will make the client unload if they hit there limit. In Minnesota we can’t party hunt so if you claim it and you hit your limit then you put your gun away until the hunt is over. So over the last three seasons of guiding I will let clients know ahead of time that when you hit your limit you pack up your gun, it really has slowed down the people claiming they shot every bird that came in.
