I've said this everytime I see this happen...they need to screen these drains in. This happens way to often and I shutter to think of how many times someone wasn't there to help these poor mommas. We've taken over so much of their home lands. So we have to be good neighbors and think of such things. Thank you so much to all of you that helped this little momma get her little family home safe and sound.

Really great to see these ducklings saved! But for the record, (and due to my profession in this field) it is important to let whoever saw this comment, do not try to climb into manholes like this gentleman to save or retrieve anything unless the manhole is properly assessed for dangerous gas. Many people die each year cos they underestimating the potential danger. Nothing is worse than good hearted intention turning into something tragic.

Hey guys, just so everyone knows, don't feed ducks and other birds bread! It does nothing nutritional for them and actually harms them in more than one way. Very glad the ducklings are safe - good for momma duck.
