You absolutely can under circumstances of training point your gun at the TV and dry fire practice. If 2 people consent to such training, you can even point them at each other. Mossberg 500 series is the only shotgun to pass the MilSpec 3443 Torture Test. Remington and Winchester refused to even submit their shotguns. Which was probably a good business move, since they already owned most of the market and if their guns failed, they'd lose a lot of sales. This is why I am a huge Mossberg fan. They make awesome shotguns for a fair price. The light held up very well too. I have a Streamlight forend on a Mossberg Shockwave that is used for home defense. It is 1,000 lumen but does not have a laser. I'm not sure how much a laser helps on a shotgun but some people like to have them. It looked like the shotgun may have been done after it was dropped on the manhole cover and hit the barrel but it kept on firing. Well done.
