I rented this game and loved the music so much. It was the first time I realized the circles on the side of the NES were the same circles on the back our Zenith record player. So, I took a cord and connected the NES to the AUX on the Zenith and BOOM! I was hearing my video games through real speakers instead of just the crappy TV. I became obsessed with audio systems ever since.

Thanks. The banjo's got an almost triangular weave shape that mimics the triangle sound on 8bit systems and then I work hard on the eq to keep the sound close

Have you considered doing a mixing/recording tutorial? There a number of tutorials from other youtube VGM artists, but almost all of those are for electric guitars, etc. Would love to see how you acheive such a great sound.
